i was so happy to hear you say "I'm sure I bought this to go with something, but I've forgotten what that was". This is me everytime I unpack fabrics, unless I get home and straight away put them with what the intention it was bought for. I love batiks, but I mostly watch everyone and anyone sewing with them. I buy Charms and Layers, and sometimes Jelly Rolls, but then I just hoard them for "Just the right quilt".

So glad to hear you forgot what you were buying that fabric for! I thought I was the only one! I’m so bad I ended up preordering 2 of THE QUILTED WITCH QUILT KIT! To make it even worse I didn’t even start the project! I have started keeping a running list of what I am going to do with the fabric or , if I have the fabric already I am using when I order the pattern.

Congratulations on reaching over 10,000 subscribers which I am now one of them. I have used batiks many times in my quilting journey they are easy to sew. What I love about them is that there is no right or wrong side to the batik fabric, both sides look awesome.

Congratulations on your 10,000 subscribers. That is wonderful. I do like batiks and I even have a lot of batiks but haven't taken the time to sew with them too much. I did make some mask with batiks as they are a tighter weave and work well. This was during the pandemic. I really love the heart table runner you made with Donna Jordan's pattern. I laughed when you got aggravated with yourself and hollered at the camera!!! So funny! I use batiks a good bit, usually as a background. The weave is so close and most of the time either side can be used. I have never made a completely batik quilt, but I hope to in the future. I have a beautiful layer cake of purples, aqua, and blues. I think it will be a striking girly quilt! Oh, I like your heart projects a lot! Donna Jordan is a top notch teacher and has lots of free patterns!

I love using Batiks. I made a signature quilt for my son and his wife while they were expecting and had all the family members sign and leave a message fir the our granddaughter. I used all pastel batiks. TFS

My favorite quilt was an orange peel pattern made with batiks. I embellished each “flower center” with a button. I enjoy embellishing using buttons. Found your KZbin tutorials recently, and love the variety of patterns.😊

I had never bought batiks , but a friend passed along tons of batik scraps( big scraps ). I put a quilt together and I’m hooked , they were easy to work with, and can’t beat the color selections, now I’m collecting them . 🤭 thanks for the videos, I started pulling fabrics for your charm square tutorial.

I have used batiks in the past. They seem to sew in a stable manner because they're usually thicker/heavier. Love the way they work together with solids. Better yet, they almost have no right or wrong side. Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers.

I love batiks and sewing them is great. I also love florals and other cotton fabrics. When I first started quilting I was scared of the colors I think because I did not use them. Now I I will buy them without a doubt.

I have used Batiks and one reason I like them is that they are usually a little bit wider than other fabrics. I have just discovered your videos and I will be watching more of them. God bless you!

I love the color batiks have. I used some when making welding caps & they didn't have the same stretch on the curves. But I've used them in quilt blocks with no trouble. So excited for your 10 k subscribers!

Love batiks. Not only because the are easy to cut and piece, but they are almost the same on both sides. You don’t have to guess if the right sides are together.

Yes, I love batiks and they’re so beautiful sometimes I can’t resist buying them just because they’re so pretty! However they do make my skin itch. Congrats! I like the look of batiks and have repaired a bed-sized quilt that had been made with some. I like traditional blocks and mostly larger quilts so haven’t used any in my own piecing. I might consider a wall hanging but after that repair, my thinking is batiks are very fragile for everyday use in a bed quilt.
