Love the gift from your friend Liz and the charm ‘Craft is Life’. I don’t have any charms hanging from my project bags. I have to do that. Love your sweater idea and I think even if the Woodbury is a tiny bit heavier, it would work and make the little pops of color pop more. Oh, your mom made your two sister’s the patchwork coat. Oh may gosh, looks like you have had a blast this week. I am so jealous. Spending time with your family made Christmas so much fun. I wish I had a mom and sisters to hang out with. I have three of my grown children and 4 of my grands that live near me and we did get together, but, it was just busy stuff. Cooking, cleaning, cooking, cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. Open gifts and even more cleaning. Those 4 grands can sure make some huge messes. I still have to clean up the play room. The last 2 grands went home yesterday. When I knit socks I split my skein 50/50 do the cuff of one and then the cuff of the other, keep going back and forth so that I complete them around the same time.

Love the marling and think it would soften the color intensity. But also like the more neutral with subtle variations. As for the Traveler hoodie, I like the looser sleeves you started with, which would allow you to wear something with a long, bulkier sleeve under the hoodie without a struggle to get it on or compressing the sleeve next to your skin, resulting in mashed fabric and unsightly creases in your skin!

Liz, on your hoodie sweater could you do the sleeves as you’ve been doing but maybe make the cuff a little smaller. In other words decrease some at the cuff. Hope that makes sense. The sleeve would look a little blouse. I like the variegated yarn for the tie on the hoodie. Whatever you decide to do will look awesome I’m sure. You are very crafty and creative. That’s very interesting on the Spincycle Yarns. I was shocked at your colors. It’s pretty but you may want to put it with a deep background color. The aqua and coral is a good idea. It’s not available here so I’ve never seen it in real.

I’ll have to look up your mom’s channel, because I too want to sew a DWR quilt. Goals for 2025. Happy New Year! Liz, if you would do a tutorial (or maybe you have one and I need to just find it) of your wool carousel/ spinny thingy 1:06:45 and where to find it. That being said, I live in Germany, so who knows if I can get it here, or alternatively I am visiting my sisters in August, so I could order it and bring it home, hmm.

if you are talking about what I use to wind my yarn, that is called a yarn swift and I'm sure you can find one in Germany!

For the sweater by Tif Neilan I think you should go for a contrast yarn that is darker like a navy, plum or burgundy. And now that I'm typing a really deep pink might also work. Something like that. And for your 24 advent skeins, if you want to soften the colors look at a sport weight sweater or cardigan so you can hold the yarn with a neutral lace weight yarn that dosen't have to be a mohair. For all those sock sets you have, if you are looking for a new to you pattern to knit Lukcy Me by Sofia Capelle would work and it's a fun sock to knit and have i nice fit for ous ladys with bigger feet. Hoods are a lot of knitting and are quite large and yours looks great. If your sweater is an oversized fit, you may be happy with the sleeve as is as long as the cuff is how you want it to feel. It’s looking incredible.

Oh my goodness, loving your vlogs!!! I WANT that quilt jacket, can you please advise the coat pattern you used please!!! I also have christmas socks on the go and yep you guessed Im not even finished one as yet!!! I also have a knitted shawl that I spent only 5 mins on LOL. My life this last week, has been quilting - I am finally doing my Liberty Tana Lawn orange peel quilt. I have made 30 blocks so far so reckon Im half way there, I think…….. its looking so gorgeous so now I want it done done done but alas, I started back at work today after having 2 weeks off so my life is not my own anymore but anyway……….. tomorrow, Im going to cut out some more peels and interfacing and get another batch sorted and added to my design wall - I want this quilt on my bed like yesterday!!!!!!!

Happy New Year! This was a fun video. I hope you won’t need to redo the sleeve on the hoodie. You probably won’t stand with your arms outstretched very often.
