Love your quilts, especially the way to did the Gypsy Wife quilt. I have had that pattern for awhile and now I know I can use a single fabric for the background. Thank you for the inspiration.

I love your studio! It’s a beautiful space! I also keep sentimental items close to me and it makes me happy to look at them and remember the gifts I have been given over the years as well as those items that I inherited from loved ones! Thank you for sharing!

I love your sewing room! It has personality! Years ago, in the 80's, my grandma and mom helped me quilt a Holly Hobby embroidered quilt top I made myself at age 17. My grandpa was a carpenter. He moved his saw horses into the living room and built a frame for us to use to quilt together by hand. I have been sewing and embroidering since I was 8 years old. I am slowly teaching my grands to sew.

You have a wonderful "happy place"! What treasure you have at your daily perusing; not many people can claim vintage possessions as you have. Thank you for the tour.

Hi Tammy, I like your style. We have so much in common. I am half Slovak, my dad was 100% Slovak. I love the vintage items and have a few of the same items you have. I love the 1930’s repro. fabrics. I have a very handy husband too. He has built me many things for my sewing space. I love the basket you have by the door. It looks like you have woven neckties into it. What a great find. I never heard that music before but I love it. Thanks for the tour.

Iam from Michigan also , I don’t know when I have enjoyed a tour of anyone’s quilt room as much as this one! You have made so much I wonder when you sleep. I used to sew a lot when I was raising my family ,clothing and things for the house and quilts on every bed.. but years have past and my health hasn’t been good and my energy is low, thankyou for showing this major part of your life and may You continue to sew.

Tammy you have an absolutely beautiful quilting happy place! I am still “trying” to get all of my son’s stuff out of my sewing room. He and his wife just bought a house and I have made it clear that now that he is FORTY I want his stuff OUT!! 🤣🤣 I will have much more room to breathe in there afterwards. 😅 I too collect antiques that have been passed down through my family. The songs and getting to meet your mother at the end were a true treat!♥️♥️♥️ I did want to say that the stained glass from your friend who passed looks EXACTLY like the little Chessie cat from the C&O Railroad. I live in the town that had the largest round house in the USA. I grew up in Russell, KY and went to elementary school less than 1/2 mile from the roundhouse. I had to rewind and look at it again and thought I would mention the possibility of someone in her family working for the railroad. Thank you for the wonderful tour of all of your beautiful works and cherished items. Now to get my husband to knock the wall out between our son and daughter’s room and I could spread out into a space as breathable as yours. Have a happy and healthy 2025 from (now) Greenup, KY. 💙🪡🧵

My girlfriend’s Uncle lived in Ludington, Michigan, he worked for the C&O railroad. Once he passed my girlfriend had it hanging in her picture window. I was impressed that you knew what it was. LOL.

What a wonderful family story you have! My mother passed in 2024 and she taught me the love of quilting. She did everything by hand; however, I do everything by machine. Love your sewing room also!
