Hey Cody, this is as always, an excellent video with your clear explanation showing your excellent technique. Lamentably, I can not use it. I suffer from severe arthritis on my hands, and is difficult for me to put those clips. I know that coz I tried it at my local Bernina dealer. So I got a Viking machine that has this very large 10 x 6 border less hoop and I am doing the same as you, but from front to back instead of side to side. I wish Bernina could do one of these border less hoops, is so much easier for my hands. May be you as being a Bernina person, could give the idea to Bernina, after all, they do a lot of stuff!!! But thanks a lot, you are as always so full of information, tips and techniques!!!! The Lord always bless, guide and protect you for you to be the wonderful instructor you are, with lots of patience and speaking so clearly for me that I am a Spanish speaking person!!!! Thanks!!! Thanks!!!!

Just finished watching this video. I really like your style. Easy to follow, not to much chitchat, right to the point, with good examples. One thing extra I noticed was your foot caddy attached to your machine. I would love to do that with my machine. How did you do that?

Everyone - here’s a tip for you: the template for the clamp hoop comes from the manufacturer with a frosted film that needs to be peeled off before use. It is pretty stuck on there so don’t be afraid to get it going from one of the corners. At first I thought my template was defective as there was no note on the box or in the booklet about the film… I bought my hoop last week and went back to my local dealer, they opened another box and figured it out that this film is intentional and needs to be removed. Hope this helps you out!

Hi Cody! I just bought this hoop yesterday, and your video popped up on my feed. Thanks for the great information! Love your videos. They are always easy to follow. Do you work at a Bernina dealership? You are so knowledgeable. Regards to Pete.

Cody, I love you videos! You are an excellent teacher. I plan to this hoop for my normal embroidery, not quilting in the hoop. Would you recommend that I float a layer of stabilizer under the hoop to protect the bed of the machine? Thank you in advance.

Look forward to your tutorial’s have learnt so much from you. Will Bernina be makeing one of these available for the 570 qe. Starting to regret buying this machine as supposedly a quilting model but they don’t supply these only for the 7 and 8 series. Thanks for your time.

I didn’t know that the design would automatically stop when outside the safe area! Is that true for all Bernina hoops? That has always been a difficulty when I have been quilting in the hoop to get up to the edge with my quilting.
@sewingwithcodyandpete8651 Жыл бұрын
This feature has been around with BERNINAfor a while now. Yes it works with all of the hoops. Just make sure your module is calibrated with your machine and over time it might need to be recalibrated. This can be done in the embroidery settings using your oval hoop and it's grid. :)

What was the weight top tread and bobbin thread? Which thread would be better?
@sewingwithcodyandpete86518 ай бұрын
My favorite is isacord which is a polyester 40wt top and bottom. But I often use Aurifil 40wt cotton top and bobbin as well. I always typically use the same thread top and bobbin when quilting.

I’m not in love with my clamp hoop. The clamps are very hard to attach. I didn’t think my UIKit was abnormally thick. My hands became very sore trying to press then onto the hoop. Especially difficult was that side where the hoop attaches to the embroidery unit.
