Quilting with an Embroidery Machine with Karen Charles

Quilting with an embroidery machine has its advantages, including the ability to program the sewing machine to perfectly place the design on the desired quilted area and to also resize the quilting design if your quilt piecing isn't exactly perfect. Karen Charles shows several completed quilt samples and also recommends doing a test with a whole-cloth quilt.

Hi Karen, I'm like you, if I say I made it, to means from start to finish.. I have the Epic 2 and T50. I've pieced a few quilts and quilted them, mostly stitch in the ditch and tried my hand at meandering. But I'm so excited to know that I came quilt using my machines. You mentioned that you stitched in the ditch to secure the top, batting and backing before your did the the quilting in the hoop. How much did you stitch in the ditch, the whole quilt or just the large blocks? Any guidance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance.

I'd like some advice. I need a quinting sewing machine. I am poor man, it is not possible to buy expensive quilting sewing machine. Name the best quilting sewing machine at the lowest price, I don't need any design of sewing machine, I don't need many functions I'll only use quilting pressure feet. I will design the round on a designer fabric and I will sew the simple round design with my hands

Dee Lamb They want you to pay for them. I've owned Viking embroidery machi ned since befoire 1995 and they give nothing away for free. Now, I'm a Baby Lock sewing/embroidery machine owner and very happy I switched.

I suspect it's trying to encourage you to buy a husqvarna machine. I imagine some of the stuff she showed also requires software.
