There's so many details in this game I adore. One of my favorite is that our character Wander is clearly not a swordsman. He swings it wildly, his technique is all over the place. And that's because he's clearly an archer - he can pull off advanced archery while riding the horse, hanging off the side of Agro or leaping off. It's an early indication that Wander's clearly not used to handling a sword, and helps in the ending reveal that he stole it.
@QuinBoBin

About the "25 hours to fully complete" thing, there's an additional secret in the remaster that is never referenced in the game outside of the credits. they mention a "79 steps to enlightenment," which are small little glowing orbs around the map with no in game hints to their location. getting all of them unlocks a pretty huge secret.

I love the gimmick for each colossi it really is what makes the game so fun. Then there's the story that is slightly dark, if I remember correctly: All the colossi are not even evil (I mean sure a few are pretty agro), it's the one that you revived that is (or can be interpreted as) evil, yet you still managed to take down all other innocent colossi, and I think the protagonist got caught in the middle (or an accessory) of a revenge cycle. Dormin the shadow that you see at the end, along with Emon the man who is said to own the sword that you stole to kill the colossi, both have a history with each other, as far as I can tell Emon sealed Dormin away by dividing him into 16 pieces then gave those pieces to the colossi, I'm not sure if that corrupted the colossi or not. But I think you do live... I think you're the baby at the end the one with the horns.

I have very fond memories of watching playthroughs of this years ago. good times! And dude, I highly recommend 'The Cave' if you're looking for a game that's fairly short but has a lot of humorous and unpredictable moments. you get to play as three characters of your choice (my favourite was always The Twins) and every one of them is a self-centred asshat who you have to relive the backstories for. each one is hilariously dark, and I spent hours on it replaying as all the characters. Edit: Horse not dead...horses can swim...yeah :') Edit 2: I was feckin right!!!

I started watching Majoras Mask because Quin videos reminded me of growing up when I watched my brother play games. He was the better video game player and I solved all the Zelda puzzles. We’d crack jokes and smack talk while fumbling through the main story. Now this game is Quin sharing his childhood nostalgia with us. Compared to how when Quin plays old Zelda games he says how easy things are since he isn't playing as a literal child (which is valid). Quin might as well be a round little guy like Makar becuase he is going full circle baby

So I dont know if someone else has said. Pretty much, what you're doing in this game is that you've traveled to the forbidden lands because you've heard that the power that resides there can revive the dead. Over the course of the game you defeat the Colossi who each guard a piece of the dark guy according to his bidding (he's the voice). The guys at the end were chasing you were doing so because they were afraid of the dark guys revival. He uses your body as a conduit to return to the world as it has absorbed all the pieces of his power. The guys see this and successfully seal you away again. Also, yes, you ARE a monster for destroying such harmless creatures like the Colossi.

as a one-video-game recommendation i would suggest any game from amanita design, i think all of them are available on steam they got a series called samarost which is 3 games long, the first two take like an hour or two, the third one is a bit longer. you play as a small white man in pyjamas then theres machinarium which i never finished but is one of the longer ones they got i think. its about a robot doing stuff then botanicula, which is like 7-8 hours i think. you play as five walking plants and youre trying to save a tree from dying then creaks, which ive never tried, but it looks kinda like a metroidvania but without the fighting part then pilgrims, which ive also never tried, and its some kind of deckbuilder-adventure game i think then chuchel, which is a rather short game where you play as a black furball who is mad because he cant eat his cherry because dumb shit happens all the time lastly theres happy game, which is the only "horror"-game they got, where you try to help a small man wake up from his nightmares they're all puzzle games and really fun very much worth a try

Ooo shadow of the Colossus. I’ve never actually seen a full playthrough of this game. And with little green funny man playing it, I’ll be sure to watch it

Haven't played this game myself, but I have fond memories of watching my friend play the original after school! Also if you're looking for some wild one-shots, how about Inscryption? It's a card game/puzzle game/jesus-what-do-I-even-classify-the-rest-as?-Horror?-RPG? It's a wild ride but it's *extremely* fun if you enjoy card game stuff and wacky ARG style found footage plots. (People usually rank it at about 6-10 hours if you're not doing 100% completion and secret bosses.)

I remember there's a secret if you manage to climb to the top of the center tower (the hub). But you need to level up your stamina a bunch (lizard is hp and fruit is stamina iirc?) and replay it a bunch (cause stamina stack every time you finish the game and continue, at least it did in the og). The remake also added a secret cave somewhere that is an easter egg, if you wanna find it (if not already)

I have the lore if you want it. That big light in the castle that tells you about the colossi and says things like "Thy next foe is", is actually an ancient and powerful being of pure evil. Its soul was ripped into pieces and sealed away into the statues, which were in turn guarded by the colossi. By defeating the colossi and breaking the statues, you put its soul back together and freed it from the castle - to repay the favor it promptly possesses you. Hence why you turn into a colossus at the end.

Hi Quin! Based on games that you have played before and enjoyed, there are a couple of short-ish games that I would really like to see you play. If you enjoyed Undertale, I really recommend Deltarune (chapters 1 and 2) and One Shot. If you liked Ori and the will of the wisps, maybe you could also play Blind Forest. These are a bit unconventional for your channel, but I would love to see you play Silent Hill 2 and What Remains of Edith Finch but idk. Lastly, this one is a lot longer BUT I would absolutely love it if you could play Chrono Trigger (it’s one of my absolute favorite games and I would love to see it)

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is a really short game. I bet you could complete in one video this length easily. I also recommend Super Paper Mario. That one is long and would have to be a series, though

Game Suggestions: *_Oxenfree_*, you can complete its story in about 3 hours, and it's actually worth playing Twice. *_A Short Hike_*, it's about an hour if you're just doing the story. *_Tangle Tower_* is a Mystery Game with an attitude that's right up your alley.

Oh my gosh I’m so glad to hear that this is one of your favorite games as well. I’ve loved it so much ever since I was a kid. I’m also so glad to know I’m not the only one who always ran away from the colossi after you beat them😂
