11:25 well the master trials can make the master sword do up to 60 damage. Normally it’s 30 damage but whenever it’s in the presence of Malice, or anything to do with Ganon, it starts glowing and becomes 60 damage anyway. The master trials just make it so the sword is always 60 damage

Fun fact: The Master Sword actually already takes on full power whenever it's glowing. It glows when near Ganon's malice (the pink shit that goops up the ground and possesses guardians). The trials will make it so that it glows all the time.

A few tips for trial of the sword: you can use the shieka sensor to look for chests which tend to have really good things in them. Elixer effects like attack up carry over into the trials if you use them before the trial. Also, if you have any elemental weapons, you can save them to one-shot any elemental enemy of the opposite type (fire weapons and arrows instantly kill ice enemies and vice versa). All of the break areas also have fairies in them, so make sure to sneak up and grab them first before doing anything else. On the final trial, if you get a blizzard rod, it is great to save it for large groups of enemies. Also, after the 3rd trial the master sword becomes extremely powerful and durable, basically making most of the other weapons in the game irrelevant, so I suggest waiting to do it

hey quin so the master sword does 60 damage and glows blue when you are near ganon goop or fighting guardians and the master trial allows your sword to do more damage when not in that state, (10 damage for every set of trials you do and there are 3 max) so it doesn’t make you op against bosses and stuff like that it just allows you to go through smaller enemies faster so i’d recommend doing all of them and also they get harder with lynels, guardians, dark rooms and cool stuff like that. also there are fairies you can get during the trials in the little checkpoint areas, and if you want to cheese the food economy mechanic, you can cook wood for food that gives you a quarter of a heart back (still food though)

Hey quin I love the content but can I tell u sum. If you don’t want to waist a bit of durability on your 2 handed weapons (because you already killed the enemy like at 3:18) you should press B before releasing Y to cancel the spin attack and stop it before the big overhead swing, this also keeps some of your stamina. :)

A fun little trick for you Quin. Take a metal boomerang, like say the Lizal Tri-Boomerang, and before combat in a wide open area throw it. Before it gets back to you use magnesis to catch it in mid air. Then enjoy terrorizing your enemies with you new weapon.

For context on the trials of the sword: The Master Sword has a base damage value of 30, which buffs up to 60 in the presence of Ganon’s creatures (guardians, blights, and certain Lynel). Completing the trials of the sword raise that damage floor by 10 each until the master sword is at full power all the time. The sword also has certain wonky numbers wrt its durability, and doesn’t lose durability in boss fights iirc.

For the third time go to Oseira Plains there is a special horse that you need to get because it's so freaking cool. Also go into the basement of Hyrule castle to get an op shield, that would be the only shield you will need because it feels unbreakable due to the amount of damage it can take before it breaks. It's called the Hylian shield and it's supposed to be unbreakable like in every other Zelda game with it even the game with breakable shields the Hylian shield just does not break but in botw while it does break it will take a long time and a lot of punishment to break. Also if you want to know true suffering play the trails of the sword just the beginning trials) on master mode where enemies are stronger and they regenerate their health.

Do the other master sword trials after you finish the shrines, you will NEED maxed out health, and stamina helps too. Also a tip for the trials: go in with cooked food to increase attack or defense because your items won’t transfer, but any buffs will

The funny thing for me, the beginner one is the hardest because lack of gear, but above that actually easier because is a ton good gear, also a tip, if you only had like 13 heart (minimum master sword) eat hearty food (like hearty simmered fruit who add 20 heart) before entering the trial, it carried into the trial
