I saw that some people had trouble with skipping the Trial of the Sword on Master Mode, so I made this tutorial!

mf boko on middle trial can drop his shield through wall so be careful when rushing him also, p.s: if you're gonna follow this guide, *PULL THE SKEWS WHILE FACING THE EXACT SAME DIRECTION AS THE TUTORIAL SAYS!* (east for beginning trials, north for middle trials, and north again for last). i recommend doing the skews in the same shrine in the tutorial for a perfectly aligned direction. *then also clip through the same walls that the tutorial clips through once the trials begin.* you can get hit or take damage, the skew will be fine. if you ragdoll for any reason, reload a save and do the skew process again followed by clipping through the wall again

For those of you who are like me and suck at glitches(like windbombs or in general), the code to the shrine is 5-3-1-2. Also, thanks for the consistent setup for the skew. I kept seeing nonsense like "aim for the dot on the shrine, and you'll get skew." Also, for those same people, you'll know you have skew if you go to shield jump, and as you're tapping the unequip option while bringing up the menu quickly, link flips to a weird angle That's also a good way to check if you lost it.

Holy crap, this guide is perfect. I did it so easily. I had like 20 mins left on my Farosh's Horn triple defense up meal before I started this trial. I completed the first two trials and still had over 2:00 on the buff. Just goes to show how quickly this can be done with the right amount of luck. I had already done the beginner trials on a different save file so I had some practice with the tactics, but this was my first time getting skew and using it, so total newbie, day two, got all three done in like 30 mins. This guide is super clean. Perfect. Just follow this one, guys.

Tip: for the final trials, if you can’t whistle run and keep getting soft locked, you can alternatively go left as soon as you clip through, once you’ve passed like 6 or so domes, turn right and keep going right until you reach a similar point in the video. It’s longer but less complicated.

This guide is brilliant. Doing the shield skew inside the shrine on the even plane makes it so much easier to line up to the wall than doing it on an outside slope. Went from taking me hours to being able to get the right skew to getting it on the first try! Thanks!

@@MrKevosmin Probably too late of a reply for you, but the other youtube guides were instructing people to get the skew on the outside slope of the shrine, or on a tree. This CAN work, but it requires a lot of luck, and a lot of the time, the skew ends up crooked or not good enough to get through the walls later on. By doing it inside the shrine on an even, 90 degree slope, it makes the skew very even and the offset very consistent, so if you do the setup correctly, it almost always works. Now of course, you still need to do it correctly, so if you are new to skewing or especially if you are new to shield surfing, it can take a while to get the button combinations and timing in your muscle memory. It does require a little practice, but I had already managed to glitch run the trials a couple times, so I was already pretty well-practiced with the motions.

It's not as random or crazy as it seems. Once enough simple and smaller glitches are found and understood, bigger applications like this are a matter of putting 1 and 1 together. The shield clipping is a well understood glitch by now, and people will just try it out on things to see where it can lead them.

not just that, i think its kinda a shame how they implemented the "strongest sword in the game" while having another recken sword, double te damage of the master sword, way earlier in the game. even with this it just gets as strong as the other one. i dont want to rant about the game, i love it. but the master sword should have been implemented better. also that you can kill ganon without the master sword is kinda bending the whole lore... Well the point is, i dont consider it cheating since you just make the sword acceptable. and not want to work for that. like, a bit would be ok but not like THAT

Only really just got chance to play this game and started a master mode playthrough after I finished my normal one. I completed the normal mode trials after a lot of hours of raging and no way was I doing it again but harder, this is an amazing guide. And the only thing I really struggled with was the middle trials clip but after that it was very smooth and the skew method was amazing, thank you so much.

This method looks better than tbe rest of the other "tutorials" the skew thing inside the shrine was the best part. Sadly it's a bit too late since I beat the trials in normal mode and frustratingly to master mode. Honestly the trial was a fun experience, but I think it was a bit too difficult in some ways because you lack enough armor. I had to do the middle trials more than 50x I think just to beat it. Beating the trials is satisfactory, but if you only want to get the max master sword for your 20$, heck why not.

I wish I could like this video 100 more times over! I love Zelda and BotW but on my old file as much as I tried I never could beat the Final Trial. I understand that the reward is meant to be earned but I feel they put too high a bar for such an Iconic weapon. With that being said I appreciate your effort in making this well explained video. A few notes for the layman that I had to learn going in dry: -As long as you are not hit you can beat up the enemies -Your Skew will carry over if you save with it -Be very careful with your box, or you will become best friend's with your bombs for the next 10 min's.

Dude I’ve been clipping through walls for a while to and this is by far the most consistent way. On my first play through I beat trial of the sword easy but learned to clip to have fun. But on master mode it’s just to hard to complete for me so I decided to clip through but I haven’t done it in a while and came to your video. Lol, finally completed it, thanks to your tutorial, never once could kill hinox with just the box, but all the first floors do have a bow and you can probably find some arrows too. If your skew is messed up for whatever reason and you are in the space between rooms, just use cryogenic outside of the boss room of whatever direction you wanna enter and use the ice as the slanted slope(top part of the ice, don’t go in between side and ground).

The trials arent very hard in regular mode if you have max inventory slots and defense up 30 min. But in master mode even with that i failed to do the final trials.

@@RamJamDee rlly? You were able to do the beginning trials, but not the final trials? You get nine ancient arrows in the final trials and the first 11 or 12 floors can be cheesed very easily. Beginning trials is just cancerous because you get a ton of weak weapons and you have to fight way more enemies per room.

I found it easier to beat the Hinox over the head than to try to bump his belly or chin. (I also ran down the line to level 6 to get a +1 attack from the razorshrooms. Probably didn't really need it, but it was fun.)

As someone who's never used a glitch before, this tutorial was awesome! In the final trial if you lose skew at the hinox trial wall, you can go back down the giant cliff you came up and shield jump against it to get skew again. At least it worked for me, so I didn't have to completely start over.

Not sure if you knew, but on the Keo Rugg shrine you don’t have to go into it to get the scew all you have to do is climb the wall where the pedestal is and shield surf on top of it it will create a strong scew as strong as what you did in the shrine but only in half the time. Hope this helps for future reference. Good job though on the tutorial you did everything perfectly.

If you're having a hard time not breaking the box, go into the trials with Temp HP and 3x attack buff. Kill the enemies to grab a few weapons and some arrows. If the box breaks, it'll usually drop ten arrows which is just enough. Stun him and grab the knight weapons. If yla weapon is about to break, swap it and hold onto it. When he raises back up, yeet the thing in his eye. It deals massive damage and stuns him. Use stasis when he's seated for more time to attack while he's down

I can't leave the beginning part, I know I'm slow to learning but the amount of times I have tryed doing this is remarkable. I even get the skew bur I just can't seem to clip through any wall except the shrine one where I get the skew in the first place. So my guess is somehow I'm losing it somewhere. Other than my personal struggle with getting it though it is really helpful especially since I can get a constant skew.

Thanks for this video. I beat the trial of the sword in normal mode the year the game came out, and I have been playing master mode since then. I thought I would never be able to get the beautiful upgraded master sword in master mode, and then I found this video. Super easy to get. I struggled to complete these insane trials in normal mode and I was very proud I did it, but in master mode it would be just impossible for me. I congratulate anyone who can beat it in this difficulty

tbh master mode beginning trials is like a nightmare difficulty if you alert the two silver lizolfos but if you use a sneak strike chain it becomes pretty easy. Just make sure to use statis + two fire arrows and it will do the job for the archer lizolfos

They are almost the same stages but master mode adds the weapons in the middle trials and it also makes the bokos one stage higher

My heart was beating so hard when I fought the hinoxes, to the point where I was sweating, I never had a successful ball crush fight, I just menuvered around the first throwing bombs, the second I kept hitting in the face and arm with the box while running, and the third, the box broke halfway through so I use the bomb tactic but anyway thanks for the help with the glitch

Okay, so I can confirm all steps of this guide still working as of the date of this post, just completed it. Combining this guide with the glitch to get the master sword early, I completed this with a total of five hearts and two stamina upgrades. You could do it with none but I would say 5 is helpful so if you catch a stray arrow in the rooms before you get a shield and glitch out it's not a one shot. One caveat, when fighting the Hinok with the metal box I found it easier to hit it on the chin instead of the belly. I could never get the belly to work consistently. Once I went for the chin, first attempt every time. Great guide, thanks. Now I have fully upgraded mastersword very early, time to crush. :)

How did you get to trials after the early master sword glitch? I had the quest for it pop up, but you still have to pull the invisible sword out to access it. I had to grind out 13 hearts just to pull the "sword".

I've always just set the skew on the side of the shrine. You don't even have to go in and it works really well. Also you can fight the hinox for all three trials, all it recognizes that you beat the boss, it doesn't matter which that you beat it will still consider you complete. And considering the hinox has a metal box you can beat him up with you're usually pretty good.

For YEARS, I’ve tried unsuccesfully to get skews, wind bomb, and shield clip. Today I accomplishes all of those things thanks to this guide. Works perfectly. Just got done with the beginning trials ✌️

Thanks dude, your tutorial helped a lot! For the Hinox room, I tried the metal box to hit its chin and balls, but it always breaks or the Hinox inches closer and closer with every hit and then smashes the box. I then ran and threw bombs and that did the trick. Also, noticed that after the Hinox is at half health, he can't regen past it. Also, below 1/4 health, he stays at one spot and tries to throw rocks at you (could also be that I destroyed all the trees too). At that point, I just spammed bombs, which stunned locked him, and I FINALLY beat him. Now off to the middle and final trials

I completed the middle trial normally. I used this trick to complete the final trials. Couple comments… I didn’t need cryonis to get into the Henox, you can just swim up to the shore Before clipping into the Henox room, since you can’t see link, move the camera all the way up and keep holding until it pans down so you can see link. Then it was easy. The metal crate broke, so I just used bombs. Took awhile, but I got it. Just stay far away until he has thrown all the trees.

IMPORTANT: I found this out the hard way because of the middle trials, but taking damage while storing a skew will cause you to lost it. Do not take damage. If you do, restart the process again.

If you take damage the skew will be fine, but if you ragdoll for any reason it will reset

If you fail the box thing with the hinox, use bombs. its literally freakin easy, just not as fast as the box. idk if it works without the bomb upgrade but just throw bomb after bomb and rund away. you take no damage if you do it right.
