I sold one of my customers a brand-new Quincy vacuum pump the original air end was noisy so the air end was replaced under warranty, the replacement air end was noisy as well so it was replaced one more time, the third air end was also noisy, it was at this point when Quincy wanted to look at the vacuum pump closer to determine what the issue was. after the testing was completed on the new vacuum pump and the customers existing vacuum pump it was determined by Quincy that it was a frequency problem in not a Noise Within the air end itself. two weeks after this test was performed and was deemed not to have any issues the air end in the video locked up. a classic situation of the tail of the dog the end of the road for Quincy compressor, I'm quite sure it had something to do with disgruntled employees that were slated to lose their jobs @ the Alabama Quincy facility

ROTARYCOMPTECH HI Is there a way to contact you? I see no info on your site. I rebuilt a 1951 quincy 240 using your 325 videos as a guide. There were 2 parts I came across when I was doing the project that I didn't purchase due to the cost of all the parts as a whole. Now that its running I'd like to purchase the parts, only any info on them has vaporized. With your knowledge I thought you could direct me where to look.

If it's a compressor that Quincy manufactured in 1951 there's a good chance that the unit is obsolete and very little paperwork may exist

@@rotarycomptech I was able to find everything using the internet and an afternoon of phone calls. Except vanes for the oil pump. They don't exist. I was able to find a carrier for the 240 that used the same pump as the one in your 325. It was complete and costs around 700 dollars. I have lost who had it. This is what I'm looking for. My pump holds pressure and works fine, but the newer pump would have better pressure and basically make the compressor last forever. Not sure how long my vanes will last seeing as they are original to the compressor.

@@john15333 I really don’t know what Paul Carpenter is talking about, that particular vacuum pump locked up about three weeks after the Quincy technician vibration analysis, at that point I had screw compressor technology rebuild the air end And the vibration was gone, both of those vacuum pumps were replaced a couple of years ago with a pair of Atlas Copco units
