Razzmatazz from the same album I think you'd like as well! Also, along same vein..Michael Henderson ft Jean Carn, if you haven't had the pleasure, "Valentine Love" and "At the Concert". I'd also recommend Norman Connors ft Adaritha "Invitation" . Your ears will absolutely love them!!! I really hope you'll take a listen! Let us know what you think! I'd love to know!!

This was such a great album. Patti Austin just has the most incredible voice. This whole album is full of guest artists. Patti is a fantastic jazz and pop singer. Quincy Jones produced "Give Me the Night" and MIchael Jackson's "Off the Wall", "Thriller" and "Bad". He also used songwriter Rod Temperton on most all of the albums he produced in the 80's, and had many of the same guest vocalists sing background on other artist's albums.

I always loved the baseline on this smooth joint! The album "The Dude" was the bomb when it dropped in 1981! Patti Austin was one of his go-to female vocalists in his productions during the 70's & 80's!!!

Patti Austin's voice is amazing as always, but on this track, the instrumental part especially the guitar always caught me in my soul. Great request🔥

Stevie & Quincy are music legends but you just got introduced to Patti Austin this lady is legendary in Jazz R&B pop. Quincy is Patti godfather he known her she was a child. I think her father is a musician jimmy jam & terry Lewis had produced her album in the 80s. Quincy is only producer & composer musician just like Stevie. You haven’t begin to tap into catalog. I made a request on pattie on your live but you wouldn’t remember 😂 I

It was 1981 (the year after Quincy produced "Give Me The Night" with Patti Austin chirpin' & scattin' the bvox). Stevie wrote & plays synths on this along with Herbie Hancock & Greg Phillinganes).

🕺🏿My mom was a huge Quincy Jones fan. She had this album and played it to death when I was a kid. This was the only song of the album that stuck with me ever since.

Even in Singapore in the early 80s, heard this album everywhere in record shops, hi fi shops, over the radio..... So many shops used the opening of Ai No Corridar to showcase their speakers then! Ha ha.... And yes, Miss Patti Austin - love her Razzamatazz song from this same album and had the pleasure of watching her in Singapore performing jazz standards in the early 2000s. She is legendary, this album is phenomenal and the great James Ingram was launched into the stratosphere with this album as well. Great times!

That sound you thought was a Guitar in the intro is actually a Yamaha CS80 synthesizer played by STEVIE WONDER. Stevie Wrote the song with additional lyrics by Stephanie Andrews

The legendary Patti Austin yes, also the goddaughter of Quincy! You should listen to this track of Al Jarreau, with Patti Austin, George Benson and Chris Botti, a real Jazzy vibe, “Let it Rain”.
