A legend. How many producers can you say were involved in the influence of so many different genres? Rest in peace!

Amazing how footage from the 90s is becoming available to watch in a higher quality than possible when the footage was filmed. Super cool. Rip Quincy Jones.

Thanks for this, ITN Archive. Another music legend, Prince, passed away in 2016, and music artiste Morris Day, of the music band "Morris Day and The Time," described Prince as follows: "He came through here like a hurricane." Quincy Jones also "came through here like a hurricane." In the 2018 biographical documentary "Quincy," on Quincy Jones and his life, there is a video clip of Quincy Jones being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, where Quincy Jones makes an interesting statement, saying that he and his contemporaries were not done making music, and that he and his contemporaries would continue making the best quality music they could, to leave behind for future generations. The way Quincy put it, is that we want our work to speak for itself, so much so, that future generations "will know we came through here." Loved the way Quincy put it. For what it’s worth Mr. Jones, future generations will know the likes of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley and Prince "came through here," and future generations too, will know that Quincy Jones "came through here." Rest in Peace, Mr. Jones. Regards, Michael M. Kamau, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa, 5th November 2024.

I guess it depends on what you choose to pay more attention to. we know for a fact That Quincy Jones was one of the biggest and best music producers and music executives in the history of music, that's what we know for a fact, so if you choose to give more attention to unfounded rumors that's on you.
