Swaraj began her political career with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the 1970s. Her husband, Swaraj Kaushal, was closely associated with the socialist leader George Fernandes and Sushma Swaraj became a part of George Fernandes's legal defence team in 1975. She actively participated in Jayaprakash Narayan's Total Revolution Movement. After the Emergency, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Later, she became a national leader of the BJP. But Nirmal sitaraman never face direct election, Nirmala Sitharaman joined the BJP in 2008 and has served as a spokesperson for the party. In 2014, she was inducted into Narendra Modi's cabinet as a junior minister and in June 2014, she elected as a Rajya Sabha Member from Andhra Pradesh. In May 2016, she was one of the 12 candidates nominated by the BJP to contest the Rajya sabha elections due on 11 June 2016. She successfully contested her seat from Karnataka, Eventhough she reside in Bangalore she does not speak fluent kannada as Sushama. Her native is Tamilnadu what is her contribution getting pro Nationalist party in Tamilnadu.Those who struggle to get Pro Nationalist party to power they get nothing, this sends wrong message, it is like 80 %Marks hardwork student struggle to get admission than less scrorr less hardwork student
