one thing about the lip glosses/k lip things: IMO, I fee like they're meant to be worn alone on the lips and supposed to leave a stain with fuller and juicier lips but I don't (think at least) I have ever seen true lip glosses on the k-beauty side of things

I've never even looked at K-beauty items, mostly bc I can't read the ingredients and I have sensitive skin and rosacea. So Mandy Lea, I'll have to trust you to guide me through! i haven’t commented in a hot minute but i came here and, after watching, i have a few notes :) nothing to call you out, bc how could you know unless you are submerged in korean culture like a major fan of kpop would be (calling myself out here lol) k-beauty is super specific for koreans. their skin shades only range so far. i hear so many ppl say that the misscha shade range needs to expand but, no, it doesn’t. not everything needs to be americanized. we don’t need to have other cultures sway our way. koreans are proud to be how they are and they are vv homegenous. the little component with three eye shadows that you said reminded you of the bronzer, blush, and highlighter together … yup. it’s meant to be that way. lid , crease (which is different bc mono lids or not is a thing), and brow bone. they they don’t use ‘our’ eye brushes to put it on, getting into each shade. i can guarantee that brushes for that are made and are on yesstyle. makeup artist tend to use qtips to put on eyeshadow for koreans, as there are only so many options of how to do makeup. i’ve watched tutorials and they rarely go outside of the box. koreans stay in their lane and they like it that way. they also have been using cushion foundations for forever. it became a quick trend in makeup for us but it’s how they do their makeup to best suit their face. and they are so far ahead of us in the skincare game, that’s for sure. their fashion is all over the place. you can tell where someone is from or where they live in s korea based on what they wear. i just thought i’d offer this perspective that might help some understand that they have their makeup meant for them. they have mostly s koreans in their country and they don’t worry about diversity like we do x

I heard about Clio Kill Lash from Alicia (Kinkysweat), although it is the lengthening or volumizing one and not the Superproof. I love it as a first coat mascara bc the wand is so tiny I can get to all my lashes :) I use waterproof mascara remover anyway so I don’t have a problem removing it.

Check for the same brow products from cyo- in soap n glory! They just might have exactly what you want but at a little higher price bc they came from the same company. Hope that helps! Good luck doll!!

Japan beauty houses also make some excellent makeup products: their drugstore level products, are excellent quality. I had a blast when I was in downtown Tokyo!.

Oo, as soon as I saw the Clio Kill mascara I went uh oh 🤭 Another YTer loves it for the lengthening and budget proof but mentioned how tough to remove! She suggested just soaking a cotton pad with Bioderm and just hold and a little patience 🙂

Waterproof mascara usually needs an oil based eye makeup remover to easily remove it. Lancome's Bifacil is the best for that, plus they have a mini you can buy if you don't wear waterproof mascara every day. 😉

I love cushion foundation. I’ve always hated foundation til I discovered cushion. There’s not just that many brands that make them. I’ve been wanting to try the Em cosmetics one, but haven’t cause of the price, but they had a 15% of the whole site today, so I buckled and ordered it lol. They are the best for traveling. I live that lip and blush together.

I fell in love with the Etude House Double Lasting foundation last year when I was trying every foundation I could find for my wedding. I hated so many of the high end ones because they either didn’t work or didn’t last but the Double Lasting was amazing for me. It its full coverage, which I need, but makes my skin look beautifully flawless without felling heavy or looking caky and it has incredible wear - like stays on under masks and after sweating or getting rained on and still looks pretty good. I don’t like to wear it every day but it is my go to any time I want to look extra put together or if I know I need it to wear for a long time. It does have a strong floral scent but as someone who doesn’t like scented make up at all it actually doesn’t bother me. The only KZbinr I’ve seen mention it is Taylor Wynn which is how I found it, but I’d love to see other try it and if they feel the same way I do!

First I like your hair a little darker. You look great with it now and when you have it more on the brighter blonde side. But then you’re one of those women that have great hair you can wear it naturally or straighten it or curl it honestly I’m a little jealous but I do love your hair!
