I love cats, but the idiots who didn’t spay and neuter their pets are to blame for the feral cat problem and this is the result. People crying about it can suck it up. Keep your cats indoors and keep them fixed. Otherwise they are pests

April Rants Most of the feral cats in Australia are the result of thousands of cats being introduced in the 1800’s to manage rat, mice and rabbit populations. Particularly around settlements set up due to gold mining. Aus has a long history of introducing species to control others, or for blood sport. Tis true though and I completely agree with what you’re saying. Cats are probably the worst of all invasive species’, killing tens of billions of small mammals and birds in most every country each year. Admittedly many of these are sick or injured creatures to begin with though. Domestic cats aren’t in fact the greatest hunters, handicapped prey is easier prey. I’ve got three, all rescued and castrated. They’re only allowed out in the balcony garden with me, so as I can keep an eye on them. They go back in when told. The only wildlife they might nab indoors are cockroaches, mosquitoes on occasion, and the odd gecko when I don’t rescue them quick enough.
