Come along with the family as we head to the famous Iñaquito Market along with the busy street food stalls in the La Floresta Neighborhood. Being in Quito during the Holiday season (Fiestas De Quito & Christmas) has been such a memorable experience. The moment we walked into the market we realized that this was no ordinary market. It seemed as if the whole city was in the market that day! Our wonderful guide, Lucia, was patient with the kids and took her time to show us around as she explained the intricacies of the local cuisine. Omg I love hornado 😍👌is spectacular with the ají lettuce llapingachos so delicious 🤤 I also love locro de papa 🥑, mote con chicharrón 🙏👌 caldo de bolas de plátano verde 😍my favorite soup 🍲 also caldo the pata , chicken stew 🥘, you have to try ceviche de camarón 🍤 in a restaurant called cebiches de la rumiñahui my favorite but only shrimp ceviche and black conchs ( conchas negras asadas) unique with deditos de yuca (cassava sticks) empanadas de morocho , bollo de pescado , cazuela , roasted pork sandwich in Guayaquil omg they have the best is called sanduche de chancho , guatita also delicious , avena polaca is a delicious drink difficult to find but if you can please 🙏 try it 🥤, in Guayaquil also the best yogurt persa is in a local called naturissimo, in Quito the best ice cream 🍨 have a restaurant called crepes&waffles omg the arequipe flavor #1👌 for you I know it’s going to be avellanas flavor it taste literally like Nutella milkshake is really good 👍 and my second favorite 😍 is yogurt frutos del bosque spectacular 😅👌in Quito the best subs is in a local called sanduches de el arbolito so good the traditional 👌

Seco means dry but also was a nickname for one of the creators of the stew in Guayaquil.... they call him "el seco xxxxxx" (means skinny) that's how you have seco as name of the dish... the key ingredients are Naranjilla and beer...

Yes, the foods are totally different. I feel Ecuadorian food is like they give you a blank canvas and then you add all the extras on top to your liking. They are both great cuisines. Still learning! Thanks for the love!
