Hey y'all!! I'm not an expert on birth control, but I want to be a marriage and family therapist/sex educator someday so I've read a LOT about birth control!! I think you may have confused a few things during the birth control segment. It sounded like a few times you guys mixed up IUDs (the t-shaped devices that sit in the uterus) vs Essure (the little blockers that go inside of your fallopian tubes, which is considered a permanent birth control method). Also, you mentioned at one point that IUDs thicken the mucus in the uterus (it actually thickens the cervical mucus). You also mentioned that more people get blood clots with birth control than the J&J vaccine, which is actually a false internet-circulated rumor. The types of clots are different, the J&J ones being more serious in regards to the type/severity of blood clot, which is why we paused the vaccine rollout; we want to know if this is a serious risk or not/why/in what ways... The bottom line is that we shouldn't compare them like the internet rumor has. The KZbinr Mama Doctor Jones does an *incredible* job of explaining that last part about blood clots in a video that she posted recently, and she also has a lot of great videos about birth control. It would be awesome if she could be on the podcast to help teach your young female audience (and educate the boys/men too!) about their birth control options and maybe the vaccine blood clot thing!! Love you all, and I hope this message didn't sound rude or anything like that, I just wanted to point out that there were a few things here that I don't think were *quite* accurate 💕😊 Edit: to anyone who read all of this, PLEASE go watch the Mama Doctor Jones vid that I mentioned about the blood clot thing... she does a way better job of explaining it than I did, and I don't want to scare anyone away from getting the vaccine!! I am a female in my 20s and I got the J&J vaccine and I am completely fine 😊

It's WAY safer than a lot of female surgies that my wife was worried about getting, so I went ahead with it instead. Highly recommended if you don't want babies, surgery was less painful than getting my shoulder put back in place, seriously it's WAY over-hyped because guys are terrified of things happening to their balls.

Ben Barnes *is* hot, and the chemistry between him and Jessie Mei Li was really great... but I really stopped enjoying that dynamic once he does the thing with the antlers. It was really messed up. I think they're a lot more toxic than Becky described, fwiw, and that's pretty clear by the end of the season. But that's just my viewpoint, I know a lot of people really like Alina and the Darkling together.
@TKDDLJ093 жыл бұрын
If people actually like them togeth, then they didnt watch and understand the show. Like he was clearly the villain from the start and unless they change in the feature season, he is gonna keep being the villain. So there wont be a chance of them. Also those who read the books probably like the Darkling more because Mal was not a good character in the books 🤣
@maisie37533 жыл бұрын
I came to the comments to say the same thing! The Darkling is equally as problematic in the show as in the books... but like intentionally problematic haha. He's the villain! Very sexy but still clearly a villain!
@Soweird6663 жыл бұрын
Well, the thing with the antlers was more visually disturbing in the show than in the books. The impression that I got from reading that part in the books was it was supposed to be more of a collar/necklace as opposed it being melded into Alina’s collarbones. And yes, the relationship between Alina and the Darkling was more toxic in the books than in the show.
@kamcalste3 жыл бұрын
@@Soweird666 I kinda like the change of it not being a collar/necklace, though. I think a necklace could've been misinterpreted as romantic - do you think it was implied to be romantic in the books, or is it treated as an actual slavery allegory? I haven't finished reading the books yet, so I can't personally speak to any differences between the books and the show. But imo, the grotesquery of the antlers coming out of her skin made it a lot more clear, visually, that the Darkling doesn't care about her and only wants her for her power, even if it hurts her.
@Soweird6663 жыл бұрын
@@kamcalste I kinda viewed it as more of a collar and as a slavery allegory, given how the Darkling used Alina’s power in order to further his agenda.

Due to COVID, we had to really shrink the list to 30 people and we are so happy that we ended up having a small wedding! It was so much more low-key and we only had the people there we really, really cared about, so it was much more meaningful. It actually felt like the day was for US and not for everyone else. Highly recommend small weddings, we LOVED it.
