It’s because this song has parts in 6/8 time which is a whole other beast when it comes to music and it sounds amazing when it’s played right, there’s also parts in 4/4 with triplets Edit: I’m not actually sure if it has parts in 6/8 it just sounds like it does to me, correct me if I’m wrong

"Buoy Base Galaxy" is such an underrated gem of the Super Mario games' music. The fact that there's only one main star and one bonus star to get in the whole galaxy, and that the music doesn't play anywhere else, is mind-boggling.
