...I am legitimately stunned by how incredible this cover is. This might legitimately be the best cover GaMetal has ever made. It's just pure perfection. The way he executed this cover is absolutely _perfect,_ he kept mixing it up throughout the entire song and still managed to make every single part of it absolutely incredible. This legitimately might be the best song GaMetal has made yet. And I know I already made that statement, but I felt like I needed to say it another time because of just how substantial it really is. Words can't even come close to expressing how incredible this cover truly is, I am not exaggerating when I say this is without a doubt the best version of Buoy Base Galaxy I've ever heard. Edit: That comment took almost half an hour to type out. It took me that long to put together a comment that I felt did enough justice to this cover. And yet I still don't think I even came close to expressing how freaking incredible it truly is.

The first 3D Mario game I witnessed as a kid, the graphics aged pretty well and the music too. I love all the keyboard sections in this remix and the epic ending, Buoy Base is one of the most memorable tracks from the game.

Everybody's poggers for Gusty Garden (and I get it, it's good; I like it too), but Buoy Base, as far as I'm concerned, is _the_ seminal Mario Galaxy song. It's got all the grandiosity of Gusty Garden, but with an undertone of intensity and danger that Gusty lacks. It's feels both adventurous _and_ imposing all at once. Easily my favourite of the stage themes.

You know, Gusty Garden Galaxy rightfully gets a lot of love, as does the Bowser battle themes from Super Mario Galaxy, but this is right up there with being one of the best songs from that game. There's just something about that intro and how it transitions into the main melody that really sends shivers down my spine (in a good way). I just recently played this game for the first time in years. My old Wii's laser lenses (the disk reader) stopped working some time around the pandemic, and after I tried to fix it manually (and ending up making it worse), I just opted to use my grandma's Wii. And this game was everything I remembered. The excruciatingly difficult motion control levels, one of the most original line-up of bosses I've ever seen in a Mario game, one of the best soundtracks I've ever seen in a Mario game, the god forsaken cosmic comet levels, and I haven't even gotten to the purple coin levels. Those were some good times. I nearly had a complete save file on my old console.
