The National Atlantic Treaty Organization has been one of the worlds most enduring and successful alliances. However, evolving threats and changing domestic views have placed NATO at the center of U.S. political discourse. On October 16th, 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting two experts, John Weaver and Daniel Kochis, for a panel conversation on the future of NATO and its relationship with the United States.
Is there a need for change in the Alliance relationship with its leading member, the United States? Donald Trump has said he would abandon NATO. But would he really do that if reelected? And what would a Kamala Harris administration do? Are changes needed in the relationship no matter who’s elected President? Our panelists answer these questions and more.
