Quorthon - one of the few greatest composers in metal music history. Pure magic.

This isn't black or viking metal, quorthon was a genius, he didn't locked himself in just two metal styles

When I look deep into her big brown eyes, I feel exactly as Quorthon felt when he wrote this masterpiece. Rest in Peace my brother, thank you for all of those you left for us behind.

Interesting, reminds of Husker Du or something like that. This guy was an incredible musician for sure. Up there with Tony Iommi as an influencer.

I honestly have not heard of this artist and compared to what little black metal I have listened to just because of the sheer lack of publicity it gets, this is an amazing band. I absolutely adore the amount of consideration they put into the melody of their guitars and shy away from over the top vocal techniques. It is hard to find this level of quality in the instrumental side of metal these days, as most of it is distained chords, syncopated drumming, and aggressive throat screaming.

i worship Quorthon/BATHORY..since 1989, his only failures are his 3 bathory thrash albums (stupid lyrics!) as well as his solo Quorthon lyrics very stupid lyrics..cheesy style shit....

Yeah I know where you're coming from but I still like and respect the guy, regardless :)

+John_Peisithanatos They are not failures. Nothing anyone does is a failure, only what you dont do is failure. What seems cheesy shit to you can have profound depth and meaning to someone else. Quorthon will always be judged harsh beacuase he played so many styles. But it was always from the heart so therefore cannot be failure.
@godisgracious35059 жыл бұрын
+Tony S Well said. I like his thrash albums, actually. If it was not for albums like "Sign of the Black Mark" I probably would not have visited his Quorthon collection. A friend, who was actually into Bathory showed be Quorthon. So it wasn't in vain.
