You mentioned that you invoice after the job. I know some get paid upfront. I'm thinking of taking a 25% deposit and the balance due in completion of the job. Any thoughts? I'm currently in a business where I have to chase people for money...

We do take deposits for Christmas Lights. We tried to do it for pressure washing and it got crazy. I do like the idea of taking the credit card and holding it till payment. Put you have to have a good CRM that holds that information so it dont get stolen. Thats probably the worst part of this job is chasing people for money of service you have done for them.

Now while I am on the phone with the customer should I be on google earth and figuring out my price and letting that customer know, or are you letting the customer know that you can google earth it and say something like is it ok if I send you a text with about how much it is? So are you letting the customer know the price over the phone or are you texting them a price

I've got my first townhome complex deal in the works, but for my usual charge I'm looking at close to 40k. There's 90 total units with 1500 avg sgft. How do you go about charging on large jobs like this? I've made my first contact and working on the bid now. During our first conversation I didnt go into budget, which I should have or at least set the expectation for cost of residential.

Just thought of something. What do you do if you get out there anf the house has oxidation all over it? Since you didnt see it in person and you already have them the estimate, do you just eat thst cost?

Is charging by the hour fair? Like 50$ per hour, plus machine for the day. 8 hour minimum. That is my policy.
@kingofpressurewash5 жыл бұрын
That’s a little cheap. For our commercial jobs we do them by the hour and it is $200 an hour per truck on the job. Also driveway we do the same
