@Peter Keller firstly you mistook the one who compiled the Qur'an , it was Abu Baker the one who compiled it 2 years after the prophet's pbuh death , secondly Uthman only burnt the unauthorized copies of Qur'an because they contained scribble errors , many people during the time of `Uthman had their own explanatory notes in their personal copies of the Qur’an. If it makes no mention of it then explain why not? n.b.several Hadith including Bukhari explicitly state it was only revealed in one dialect for Quryash which conflicts with others claiming multiple dialects. 2) Why if it would be revealed in different dialects for tribes, etc living in close proximity to each other did Allah not include languages and dialects that were or would soon become far more prevalent e.g. Persian (Farsi)? 3) Show from The Qu'ran itself where it mentions how many Suras there are in total, total number of verses, the size of the book, how it should be arranged and compiled? If you cannot show such things then explain why Allah forgot to mention such crucially important things? You often hear Muslims claim The Qu'ran refers to itself but that is meaningless without the aforementioned information. 4) The people that memorized it did so in an entirely different order than the written Qu'ran e.g. chronological order as the revelations were received. Explain why when the written Qu'ran was compiled they did not follow the order that people that had memorized it in and instead opted for a haphazard arrangement of Suras roughly by order of size? 5) Allah was known to change his mind frequently (abrogation) would a chronological order not have made far more sense to put the written version in? In the written version abrogation is all over the place and without the revelations in order they were received, confusing what Allah changed his mind from and to. 6) Uthman destroyed many Qu'rans and manuscripts, explain why he did so? Also what the differences there were between them? Why not preserve them for historical purposes. Or do you want to claim they were all absolutely identical and he destroyed many just for the fun of it lol. 7) Which Qu'ran today do you claim perfectly matches the earliest copies i.e. not a word, letter, punctuation, etc unchanged? Ok so it obviously cannot be the popular 1924 Egyptian edition, so name any other you can. 8) The Qu'ran is supposed to be eternally preserved in heaven - please name the copy on earth you think perfectly 100% matches it - revelations in the same order, same punctuation, words, etc? How can e.g. the order be the same when on earth it was decided by men after Muhammad died? 9) Scholars like e.g. Dr Shabir Ally has said in the early period the message was far more important to people than preserving the exact words, do you accept that as true? ^ TRIED REPEATEDLY ASKING Roid Astria (see below) THESE QUESTIONS BUT HE KEPT BEING VERY EVASIVE AND WAS UNABLE TO ANSWER THEM DIRECTLY, so any other Muslims are welcome to answer them.
