I actually made the same mistake of adding 2, 4 and 2. Then I learned that it is actually 2,2,2 because the earth’s creation plus the measurement of sustenance was done in a total of 4 days. It’s like, the earth was created in 2 days, the sustenance together with the creation is in 4 days total. Then the heavens were created in 2 days. So 4+2 = 6. Hopefully this helps!!

The Qur'an says in two verses, (22:47 and 32:5), that the measure of one day in the sight of Allah is equal to 1,000 years of our reckoning. In another verse (70:4) it says that the measure of one day in the sight of Allah is equal to 50,000 years of our reckoning. He placed on the earth firm mountains, standing high, showered His blessings upon it, and ordained ˹all˺ its means of sustenance-totaling four Days exactly-for all who ask. (Quran 41:10) do you see the word ''totaling'' meaning that both the earth and the things on it were created in ''total'' four days. not separately! both of them combined made the number 4. and the heaven was created in two days. so, 2 days (created the earth) + 2 days (for creating the things present on earth) + 2 days (created the heaven) = 6 days.

The word which is used in the Quran is 'Ayyam' ayyam has different meanings. Most translations were done several years ago when science didn't know much. Hence in most translation, the word 'day' is used. The best meaning of 'ayyam' which can be used in terms of context is 'epoch'. If you refer to a long period of time as an epoch, you mean that important events or great changes took place during it. Today science tells us that this universe was created in billions of years. And again the Quran is not against science, the Quran is with science. Edit: what I mean by it took billions of years is: the earth is 4.543 billion years old, but our universe is estimated to be 13 billion years old. Hope you get it...

'Namaaz' so you're an Indian? As far as I know, Namaaz is a Sanskrit word. The proper word is 'salah'. There are pillars of salah (obligatory acts) and sunnah acts of salah. Even if someone does obligatory acts of salah, that is enough. All scholars teach obligatory acts, I do not know of anyone who does not teach it. Some scholars do not teach a few sunnah acts to make things easy for some people. In short, we Muslims pray in a universal way, but just a few Muslims pray with some extra practices 🥰

I think he was tryna assert that it did not explicitly state 8 years which would make it closed to interpretation; he was saying it does not necessarily mean 8 years in the sense that it started at say 2001 and finished in 2009 and that that that aya or surah doesn't state that they were made one after but rather parts at the same time. Only the true believers will enter heaven, while Satan and his followers will enter hell. Answering your fourth question, now, abolishing means ''putting an end to something'', but Allah never ''abolished'' those verses. If you meant to say establish, then.. the answer is already in the third answer I've given. Another way of looking at this is the following. The word ثم "Thomma" in Arabic means and "Then" in English. It does not mean simultaneously or moreover. The four days mentioned in this Chapter included the first two days of the Earth's Creation. After the first two days, the Earth was still a protoplanet that had only 10% of the current Earth's mass. Allah used the word "and" to connect between the creation of Earth and the setting of piles of mountains on the top of the Earth during the first four days.

If the earth was completed in the first four days of creation and the heavens were created in the final two days to give us a total of six days, why does Surah 79.27-33 say that the the sustenance for humans and the mountains were placed on the earth AFTER (Ar. ba'da) the heavens were completed?

Allah said DURING Four (Ar. ba'da) days, he created all the sustenance of all creatures were created and put inside the Earth. Allah simply means he created all minerals and other elements and put them in the mountains, crust and all other layers of earth during the first 4 days. All these useful minerals will be used later to make the food of all animals and humans. Please watch the following video in my next comment to understand the whole details of the Universe creation.

@@abcislamfornon-muslims2652 The problem that I am seeing after the Qur'an mentions the two days of the earth's creation in Surah 41.9, is that Muslims do not agree on where to place the four days in 41.10 or the two days in 41.12. For example, there is a video of Ahmed Deedat saying that two of the four days mentioned in 41.10 include the two days from 41.9, and then the last two days were when the seven heavens were created in 41.12. Zakir Naik said that the two days of 41.9 are separate from the four days of 41.10, and that the two days of the creation of the seven heavens in 41.12 are included within the six days of the creation of the earth, but he doesn't tell us where. Then there are other Muslims who say that the seven heavens were created simultaneously with the earth on the first two days, and then the four days in 41.10 follow that. That's THREE DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS! As for the Arabic word "ba'da", you'll have to show me at least one translation of the Qur'an where someone has translated "ba'da" to mean "DURING" instead of "AFTER", because Surah 79.30 says "wa-l-'arda BA'DA thalika dahaha" ("and the earth AFTER that he spread"). After what? AFTER the creation of the heavens mentioned in 79.27-29.

All Arabic Tafseer books that I read regarding these 2 days then 4 days, say exactly like Ahmed Deedat because Allah didn't use بعد and the used Arabic sentences clearly show that the 4 days include the first mentioned 2 days. Also, use your brain and think about what Allah created in the 4 days; Allah created the dust, the soil, the minerals, and the mountains. clearly from day zero all the way until the end of day 4. Surely this also happened during the fist 2 days while the Earth was still growing from the Nebula and the dust filled the solar system at that time. It seems that Dr. Zakir was not ready for this question or his memory got confused while answering this question. I mainly blame the people who keep this video on KZbin, just to gain some benefits/KZbin views. It is also clear you didn't spend enough time to watch the video I mentioned above that answers this question and your other questions. Please do.

I'm already clear on the earth and how many days it took to complete it (4 days). What I am trying to figure out is on which two days during the six days of creation were the seven heavens formed and completed? On days 1 & 2, or on days 5 & 6. Are you able to answer this question? @@goodday7488 The entire science of today is present in the Quran, but it is known only when a scientist (Non-Muslim) discovers it without reading Quran. This shows that Allah gives knowledge, expertise and skill and education only to those who are non-Muslims and have not read out Quran. It has been a trend and very easy to relate religion with science if science later on discovers something. For example: Quran says Allah creates this earth in 6 days and Science says it took about 13.8 billion years for the earth to be inhabitable. Now you can say Allah’s 6 days equals to 13.8 billion years, when you have to prove yourself right though there is no proof even Quran for such claim. There may be other science about our earth, planets, stars and universe in Quran. Please ask Jakir Naik about hidden and undiscovered science present in Quran, if you get a chance, my brother so that we are familiar with the science in Quran before any non-Muslim scientist discovers it.

Summa can also be translated as "and" And when we use *and* and read the verse ** "And" He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion. They said, We have come willingly." ** Allah clearly says "while it was smoke" meaning it wasn't complete yet... And in next verse(12) Allah says He *completed* the seven heavens in 2 days... Which means... Allah created heavens and earth simultaneously and while the earth was being prepared with all that which will give it sustenance the ,7heavens also were being completed... Simple... U just need to know arabic...
