There is only one salat mentioned in ayat 17:78 - establish the salat from the dipping of the sun(Maghreb) ‘till the end of twilight (when the stars appear and night comes).

Most of the commentators don't listen. Go to @1:21. He specifically says this is about the time frame and not the number of times. He then says it's better to pray the 5 prayers alone and not combine. And this is the greatest problem with Muslims: they don't stop to listen in entirety and instead just react without comprehension. It's a shame this ummah behaves in this way.

In the Book of Daniel, it reveals that Daniel pbuh prayed 3 times a day on his hands and knees facing towards Jerusalem, the first Qibla. And the Qur'an also mentions 3 prayer times, so to me there is two reliable sources that mention only 3 prayer times.

the Surah 11 Hud, Ayat 114-114 reads, "And establish the Prayer at the two ends of the day and in the first hours of the night. Indeed the good deeds drive away the evil deeds. This is a Reminder to those who are mindful of Allah." This seems to refer to Salat al-fajr, Salat al-maghrib and Salat al-'isha. Surah 50 Qaf Ayat 39 goes, "Therefore, O Prophet (saws), bear with patience whatever they say, and keep up glorifying your Lord with his praise, before sunrise and before sunset. And glorify Him again in the night and also when are free from prostrations." This seems to refer to Salat al-fajr, Salat al-asr and Salat al-'isha. Surah 30 Rum Ayat 17-18 states, "So, glorify Allah in the evening and in the morning; all praise is for Him in the heavens and the earth- as well as in the afternoon and at noon." This seems to refer to Salat al-fajr, Salat al-zuhr, Salat al-asr and Salat al-magrib. Based on the information provided in the Quranic verses you mentioned, it is recommended to establish prayer at least five times a day, which are: Salat al-fajr (before sunrise) Salat al-zuhr (afternoon) Salat al-asr (late afternoon) Salat al-maghrib (Before sunset) Salat al-'isha (night) These prayers are mentioned in different Quranic verses and are considered as one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

When the word "Salat" is mentioned in Quran, you should take its meaning as "Salat". If you take the meaning as "Salat" when other words or phrases are mentioned then you are injecting your meanings in Quran, and that is falsehood.

God gave us a fully detailed book, so I suggest people just follow that. Everything is in it. Stop putting the prophet and others in the prayer as well. The Quran is clear there is the three prayers the dawn prayer the middle prayer and the night prayer. The Quran is clear there is no number of rakahs mentioned or any madhab based prayer you have to follow. The physical prayer can be done standing it can be done bowing it can be done in prostration and you end the prayer by saying alhamdulilahi rub al alameen

Quran mentions 3 prayers. Morning, mid day and night. Night prayer is referring to Thajjud. There is 6 prayers, they say night prayer or thajjud isn't fard because it's nafil as the prophet didn't want it to be a burden upon the ummah but it's clear cut in the Quran. The rest 5 are from hadith. You pray them seperate. You combine if travelling or it's important. Even if some day you got up late or whatever you can combine in general if it becomes difficult, but just don't make the combining of prayers a habit. Once a habit is formed you get lazy. I've been combining fo a while due to late sleep for zuhr and asr so I will break from it, only do when it's valid, Allah is All-Seer

How do we know that when he said the middle prayer he meant midday? I think what Allah meant by the middle prayer is the one between those two when we look at it from the verse طرفي النهار و زلفا من اليل. So there’s two prayers at the edge of daytime and another in between و (and) زلفا من اليل. And if we see how when he said the middle prayer he also said when people take off their clothes to rest, we can conclude that it means when they take off their clothes to rest at night since universally that’s what everyone does despite the meaning attributed to this is that people use to take a break at noon and take a nap. I’m not certain of this but I’m trying to understand.

"O you who believe! let those whom your right hands possess, and the (children) among you who have not come of age ask your permission (before they come to your presence), on three occasions: before morning prayer; the while ye doff your clothes for the noonday heat; and after the late-night prayer: these are your three times of undress: outside those times it is not wrong for you or for them to move about attending to each other: Thus does Allah make clear the Signs to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom." . @@tanveerhussainzaidi9176 3 times salah is conditional... certainly rest of the Muslim worlds are not fools to pray 5 times a day..and shias are definitely not the genius ones to pray 3 times a day.. just follow what quran says.. may Allah give hidayah to us all.. and why is shias adhan different from sunnis??? are they too smart to even change the adhan? is it permissible?? I don't get it... my brain explodes..

The Qur'an and the Sunnah. They compliment. Same with wudhu' Qur'an only mentions wash the face, the hands and the feet. But the Sunnah expands etn wudhu' to other than the three. Yes, Qur'an mentions THREE OF THE FIVE. You must not go too literal on the Qur'an. The Prophet shows how to do things, part of which is mentioned in the Qur'an The Prophet is the EMBODIMENT OF THE QUR'AN. SO, WHATEVER HE PRACTICES, GOES.

five prayers were given to us on MAIRAJ if Allah wanted us to pray three times like the Jews do he would have given the number 5 and then their names also . They are five prayers on times a day . If someone can’t do it it’s there problem religion should not be changed
