Muslims claim that the MESSAGE of the prophets was lost, but the Quran only ever confirms their LIFE STORIES as recorded in the Bible, affirming the NARRATIVES of the Bible as the word of God. To Adam God promised the Seed of the Woman who would conquer Satan. Ge 3:15 To Abraham God promised the Seed of Isaac through whom all nations would be blessed. Ge 22:18 To Moses God promised the perfect sacrifice that would take away the sins of the nation and purify it so that God could dwell in their midst. Lev 16 To David God promised an everlasting Messiah King who would rule over the nations for ever and ever. 2 Sa 7:16 All glory be to Jesus the fulfilment of all legitimate scripture.

The claim is not that it was lost, but it was rather corrupted. But some parts of the Bible still reflect the original message, it would be strange if you didn't find any similarities since it's a message from the same and only God. Also if you are going to use Quran to affirm yourself that the Bible is the word of God, then you might as well follow the Quran itself as the latest and the complete message.

@@ShanXton Ah, but there is a problem with that. The Quran affirms primarily that the narratives about previous prophets as recorded in the Bible are scriptures themselves, but then it supplies no narrative for itself. How can the ultimate revelation of God be so poorly written that it provides no context? Why did the Abbasids have to make it all up centuries later when previous scriptures provided all of that?

Include their today’s shahadah w that, along w mhamed was a profit. Half of what they say, do and believe today isn’t in their Q! But that’s how Islam stays alive. Their entire religion is literally HEARSAY! Even their foundation which is gabriel appeared to mhamed isn’t in the Q. NOWHERE will u find where gabriel say “i am gabriel.” Everything in islam is assumed when not made up. Hilarious to me.

@@temporaryaccount5307 I'm muslim though. However there is nothing wrong with putting the finger where it might hurt or things that are possibly questionable. The stubborn one who thinks he is done with learning, can never learn. Whereas the one who opens himself can always learn which will make him understand things. The Quran is indeed a very special book, only a biased person could denie that. Moreover, it is a book that leads to the straight path. I only got the feeling that a lot of people don't know how to value the Book and even use questionable sources to overrule it (Hadits). Also, there don't exist 5 pillars in the Quran. Ofcourse praying, zakat, fasting, hajj... are important. But are they more important than the universal values, more important than having Taqwa? If you say the islam is based on hearsay, then you *must* say that all other world religions of today are based on hearsay. Then again, the big majority of historians have agreed that the Quran is indeed unchanged. The Quran is the proof of Muhammeds prophethood. That people misunderstand how the religion is, does not mean that the real religion is not present, it is in the Quran.

I remember read these verses in Qur'an, but I can't recall which chapter. I think it's in early chapter Al-baqarah or Al Imran. Correct me if I wrong

@@IMHS21 amd why “must” I believe all religions are hearsay bc I deny urs? Islam has no history, it has no archaeology, and doesn’t even have its own city until the 10th c! The Bible however, doesn’t have any of those problems! There’s a reason why ur book doesn’t have specifics and that’s bc what isn’t stolen is made up.

Now, you say the islam is hearsay, but the criteria you use to determine this, you would not use these same criteria to determine this for the bible. If you would apply your criteria you must come to the conclusion that the bible has less ground to stand on. But then again you are biased.... you don't want to learn. That is confirmation bias. If your attitude were better I would have wanted a conversation with you.

What if I told you Salah, hajj, and other practices are not in the Qur'an and not what traditional Islam has lead you to believe? Culture and hadith have shaped the Islam we understand today.. most of what we see and do now is false. I'm an English convert to Islam and shocked by what I uncovered. Dig deep and be ready for the truth. Dr Shabir I admire him. But he and others know this. But suppress it.

Muslim must stick to these things, Rasul said this when he dying. First, stick to Qur'an and second, stick to hadits (what Rasul did and said). Hajj practice today was teached by him eventho Kaba' existed long before him. If you though it's nonsense, seek to nearest Imam in your place. Ask him, because this only I capable to answer you. Profesional like Imam has more knowledge and strong evidence.

Sunnah or practice is transmited trough living tradition and testimony (hadith)...maybe I have misunderstood this, please correct me if I'm wrong. But to say something wrong on resulullah can lead You to fire...
