....... He's tapping off a small chunk of tomato that's stuck on the inside of the tong so it does not fall and drip on the table and loooook bad for the camera.......... Clean sells, drips distract......

@@SharonE333 That may be so and is all well and good, however The rim of a pressure cooker is a critical surface and tapping metal against plastic can cause damage to the plastic surface, no matter how lightly you tap. not only does this degrade the surface, it shortens the working life of the pot AND could to some extent diminish the safe operation of the pressure cooker. All-in-all, whilst drips might distract, there is no excuse for careless and unsafe working practices. jm2cw and have a great day (smile) :-)

If you don't understand what you are reading, that's neither my fault, nor my concern. However, let me help you to understand my point: consider this, when you hit a, "plastic edge" with a, "metal" implement, you can very easily damage the plastic edge. In the same way that you should not use metal implements in, "non-stick" pans, you should not hit the rim of any pressure pot (plastic or otherwise,) with a metal implement lest you damage the rim and compromise its ability to create a pressure tight seal.
