Oh, god. Here's the thing, if you ever see it: The Solar Eclipse _wasn't_ bugged. The _sky_ was. Maybe it's a multiplayer oddity, but you should've been able to see the sky filled with light and a "debuff" telling you that the sky was fucked. That's why the Solar Eclipse wasn't working. It goes away after you beat the Warrior of Light.

This mightve been patched by now but when I played the mod with my brother, we were unlucky enough to have the world in everlasting light at the same time an eclipse waa in process. We had a neverending eclipse.. which forced us to rush to defeat the warrior of light

Also when calamity is installed progression is changed, some weapons (bury the light for example) are buffed but are crafted with post moon lord calamity boss drops. Also you can go to other planets in multiplayer by disabling something. The issue is that you crash 1/2 of the time

My best/worst (kinda unintentional) farm was using Fargo´s mod overloaded/multi summons. I planned to summon maybe 100 Eyes, but didn´t realize the item multiplied them by 10. Fortunately they spawned in waves, but I still had to grind through 1000 of the bastards. Well, the worst part was opening all the bags and selling the loot, it took ages, but I did come out of that with over 400 platinum. (I probably had a bit before that, and buying the summons wasn´t cheap to begin with, but still, over 300 easily.)

Ah, that bugged Solar Eclipse was due to a mechanic from defeating Moon Lord in the Stars Above, where day becomes permanent. Time doesn't even tick, it just stays at like 9:30AM. Usually there would be a different music track playing and the sky would be much brighter above ground, but I guess that didn't work so well in Multiplayer. Back then, this would happen instantly when you killed Moon Lord, nowadays you get several in-game days as grace period to prepare in case you needed the day/night cycle to acquire anything else you needed. Killing the Warrior of Light would remove that effect on the world. Your Starfarers (anime waifus) should've also warned you about this, but they either didn't because it was bugged and didn't appear, or they probably did and you skipped over it. The other major issue with not being able to use the portal during the Pillars was because the mod prevents you from doing so during the Lunar Events, but I'm not sure why it told you there was no portal nearby. Usually it should tell you that you can't go on voyages while the Pillars are around. And by the way, there is an option to change all the damage types of all Stars Above weapons to be a damage type of your choosing, although any weapon that has its damage type changed as a result would lose 10% of its damage.

So, regarding the final weapon that "makes sense to be a melee weapon", it actually does? Stars Above pulls a lot of weapons from different games, and this one was no different. If I recall correctly, it's stated to need an Aegis Crystal, and makes a weapon involving the name of "Architect". Me being the nerd that I am, I put two and two together to make five, only to realize thats Artifice Siren, one of several Artifices under the control of the Pneuma Processor Core in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The weapon Pneuma gives the player, is in fact a melee weapon, and thus would deal melee damage.

The Architects Luminance or whatever, the glowy blue sword at the end of the game, is actually built to be any class. There's a feature that nerfs weapon damage and makes it whatever damage type you want, but that specific weapon has a unique interaction with it. Every time you respec it to a different class, the weapon changes how it behaves entirely, and it doesn't take the damage nerf. It's also got the most anime right click ability ever, I love it so much. Plus, it's a Xenoblade reference, which... Terraria is my favorite game of all time, I've been playing since like 2012. The Xenoblade series takes up spots 2-8 in my top ten, Terraria being the ONLY game above them. That's how goated Xenoblade games are. As such, Architect's Luminance is my favorite modded terraria weapon and I use it *every* playthrough. I use Stars Above for every single modpack I play with, just for that weapon. I don't play vanilla Terraria, because of this weapon. It's just a shame that Stars Above is so broken with multiplayer.
