Is it just me or is there a little “knock” coming from the motor? I dont think I heard it that way before. Maybe it’s a different mic mount

Pretty sure that's just the way the motor sounds it's been like that since I bought it and I've already taken it to get serviced several times since then. I'm sure the mechanics at BMW would've noticed if something was off since they test ride after every service.

@@ohhhcrap Yeah makes sense. I’m just used to the s1k sounds and this is a little more utilitarian. Fun ride!

Trust me as a previous S1K owner myself it was a shock when I first rode a demo I even asked about it to the salesman and he said they all sound like it. I guess it's a characteristic of the boxer motor although a lot more pronounced on the 1300 vs the beloved 1250gs.
