Amazing video! I worked this branch for 3 years. It’s awesome to see the branch from the air. Great work!

Very nice production! Keep it up! I recently drove through this area and caught a glimpse of the red locomotives and wondered what their story was. Now I know!

Well done video. Very informative. My hats off to short lines like these that keep branch lines viable.
@SIDETRACKEDCHANNEL2 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir. Indeed from thousands of shortlines to several major players there has been a return to shortlines on many of branches that would otherwise lie abandoned.

@@SIDETRACKEDCHANNEL there's a couple historical railroads out here like Sumpter valley railroad that still operates.. Union railroad of Oregon, which still has maybe a mile, mile1/2 of rails left and the old Depot.... Big Creek & Telocaset Railroad, most of it's gone but there's still some rail and rail ties left… rails dating back to 1883.. lot of cool stuff out here

Some are on our list to look into. Hoping to start our second series later this year time willing.

Ah so you’ve chased us? That’s pretty neat, I’m always looking for people who chase us to get some pictures from them.

Awesome shots throughout, I especially liked the map at the beginning, and love the red engine !!!

Thank you sir. The weather really made that little red engine pop in the footage which adds to the visuals.

We move a lot of cars with cusion drawbars and many times we end up with ones with blown out cusion devices so it hits pretty hard when the slack runs out on one of them.

5:17 Though they weren't an every day sight, i did see INP in the green and cream color paint scheme, which i like more than the red one. I used to live in Payette ID that had the UP main line and a INP branch line that started in Payette ID went through Emmet ID to Cascade ID which i stopped seeing INP trains once they sold the line. The long section of track leading to Cascade, i forget what they called it, something rocky mountain which was abandoned some years later which my parents got to ride the last train through.

The red does feel a bit generic. Recently the Columbia and Walla Walla bought two of the older units and brought them back to life in Washington so there is a chance to see them running once again now. The branch from Payette still runs to Emmett. Just not beyond there which was the Thunder Mountain Railroad. Thank you for sharing your memories.

'Slough' is pronounced 'sloo.' Wallowa rhymes with 'Allow-a' not Aloha.
