When I watched it before, I fell in love with *AICELLE SANTOS* bcuz she reaaally nailed the song with her deep vocals -- she never derailed along the song. And I'm not surprised, M-Angel will be impressed too.

This is such a momentous number for music fans in the Philippines, and here’s why. Regine started her career in the mid 80’s. She reached stardom in the mid 90’s where she became the prime diva of the Philippines. Since then, year after year, new divas would come out and try to snatch her crown. Every year, every new diva would be compared to her, and fans would be like, “Will she be the next Regine?”. And they all faded away in a couple of years while Regine soared higher and higher. And now, 20-some years later, there she is still. Still in good form, and now singing with the new divas, and still serves as an inspiration to them. No one has done that. Her longevity is unparalleled. For us to see Regine still singing, with yet again, another generation of divas, is just so incredibly surreal. How long will this woman last? Hahahaha. But yes, we do see age kicking in. It’s inevitable. She’s not immortal after all. But she has left a huge mark and impact, that she will forever be remembered, as our beloved SONGBIRD :-)

The divas in order: 1st- Angeline Quinto - On the Wings of Love 2nd- Julie Ann San Jose - Shine 3rd- Aicelle Santos - Say that you love me 4th- Jona Viray - I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing 5th- Morissette Amon - Somtime, Somewhere They all sang Regine's songs (originals and covers) beside her that made them all nervous.. 😂 and the reason why they all ended the song on a high note is because it's Regine's signature.. everytime Regine sings, she always ends on a sustained high belt.. it's her thing to show her lungs stamina.. she always does that.. after all the crazy upper belts in a song, she can still sustain a high note at the end.. that's what's surprising about her.. :) Thanks for reacting to this, M-Angel.. Aicelle Santos is an underrated singer but she really has a very rich voice, the diction and the singer style is very international.

The singer in the red-pomegranate colored gown is Aicelle Santos. Previously part of a 3-girl singing group named La Diva where she was joined by Jona and another great singer Maricris Reyes under the TV network GMA. The group disbanded when Jona went solo and transfered to the rival TV network, ABS-CBN. While Aicelle remained in GMA, she continued to sing and had successful concerts and musicals. Though underrated, I personally like the quality of her voice ( deep alto ) and the way she controls it. I hope she will be given more shows, singing projects and musicals!

I WAS HERE!!! It was monumental! The stage, the crowd, the atmosphere. Everywhere was just heavenly! MORISSETTE WAS CRYING THE VERY MOMENT REGINE WENT ON STAGE. She was sobbing at the side waiting for her turn. And you can tell she tried to hold it but after their duet, you can see she was crying but still trying to hold the emotion. Actually they were all emotional. Mori started crying when Regine went on stage, Angeline cried after the belt part (got carried away), Julie Ann cried backstage after the performance, and Jona cried before the performance because she received news that her father who has been sick for weeks, died in the hospital before they could perform. They only practiced this for two separate days. First was during the rehearsal where Regine also needs to rehearse other songs, and the second was the night before the concert. With her two night concert, Regine only rehearsed EVERYTHING for two weeks, including the dance productions. The first woman was Angeline. You'll be fooled at first because she sounded and look like Regine during her younger years, only that Regine has more power and resonance. Angeline was a die-hard Reginian and the president of a Regine Fan Club even from when she was not a celebrity yet, until now. All of them came from Regine's Singing Contest, except for Mori and Julie Ann. Though all of them admittedly grew up being a big fan, singing her songs through out their music journey. Sarah came from Regine's singing contest too. She was Regine's first baby. She guested on the second night of R30. After this performance, Regine said "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOW DOWN TO YOUR NEW QUEENS. I leave these girls to you" And all of the girls cringe in disagreement. Thank you for reacting to this. I forgot what year it was in the 90's but in a show called Mel and Jay..Mr. Ryan Cayabyab explained Regine's vocal qualities that how much her chest voice extends up to the upper register that some soprano is singing in their mixed voice when belting in high notes but regine just belted every note with her chest voice with ease even a B5..that's why regine's voice is so powerful, able to do runs with ease.. even in high notes her voice is like an amplifier because she always sang in her chest voice..you can see and hear it that she always uses open throat..she rarely uses head voice..
