@@sentientchessboard595 Quite a few reptiles have this '' third eye '' but I believe currently we aren't 100% sure on why yet. They can see vague light and shadow with it, so it's most likely to either be aware of predatory birds above them before said bird can strike, or to find spots to sunbathe ^^

I appreciate that Gila Monsters were included in this list. They are gorgeous giant lizards, but are close to being endangered because people don't know how to leave them alone. But yeah, when a Gila Monster (pronounced Hee-lah) bites you, it clamps on and won't let go, so people tend to kill them when they can't pry their jaws open to release the bite..

Fun Fact: Gila Monsters can’t actually kill you just with their venom. The venom only makes it feel like you’d die. In other words, the venom makes the pain feel worse then it actually is. Edit: After I saw the fan art for Lexi, I got inspired to draw my own fan art for her. Me and Lexi are both trans but opposite genders, so having and LGBT member as a narrator here and the other narrators accepting LGBT members really makes me happy that I’m accepted. So I guess this is a thank you for all the EmKay narrators, thank you.

“Third eyes” in vertebrates that have them tend to show up atop the head, seemingly stacked on top of the thalamus. They’re much simpler eyes than the primary two, and is likely just built to detect changes in the local lighting. They rarely if ever have shown up in warm-blooded vertebrates.

Raptors refers to all birds of prey, not just the prehistoric flightless ones that were the size of dogs and bigger. Modern raptors include hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons for example.

I had a mix breed dog that was definitely Black Lab and Rhodesian Ridgeback. The ridge looked like a tiny boat spreading waves. She was a sweetheart with a surprisingly deep bark. Mostly black, with a white tipped tail, white toes with black speckles, and a cool zig zag white down the front. Big brown Lab eyes.

I want to see Lexi's reaction to a baby flying fox bat. The first sight I ever saw of one was on a video where it was rapped up like a burrito and eating a grape. It was so precious.
