Hey Kerry, my name is Rachel and I’ve been following you since around December of last year.. I played guitar growing up for a few years but quickly got frustrated so I stopped playing for years until recently . You’ve given me a great insight of the language of guitar.. understanding open chords and Barr chords (my favorite) and the importance of the two. You’ve helped me learn how to put more enthusiasm into my playing.. I thought I wanted to be more of a psychedelic type of player but R&B is definitely the go-to. You also wished me a happy birthday recently , I’m never gonna forget that so yeah, I hope I get to eventually get to work with you one day because I sing also and you’re like the God father of guitar in my eyes. ❤️

I've had a black Affinity Telecaster with white pickguard for about 3yrs now. I contemplate upgrading to a USA or MIJ strat or something a little nicer, but its alright. I gave it a setup a few months back, and it feels much nicer to play now.

You don’t need a USA or MIJ, but you definitely need an upgrade because affinity electronics are usually pretty weak. I would just suggest getting a higher end squier

Time to spice up 🔥 thanks sir! i use a strat Yamaha Pacifica, single coils and a humbucker at the bridge :) question tho, the chords in the song are Abmin7, Ebmin7, and EMaj7 right? So ow'd you know the F#Maj would fit in nicely there while omitting the Ebmin7 and EMaj7? :)

So is it more common to use the slide for the first chord in the riff, then add the hammer-ons in the later part of the riff, or not necessarily? I'm trying to figure when to use the different embellishments. Thanks if you can help.
