I got scratched by a stray cat and it bled. The cat is not well. Does not looks like it has rabies but cannot say that does not have rabies either, it has worm infection also. Thankyou for the info I'll get a shot as fast as possible.

@@mamtasingh3293 I did got the vaccine but guess what I did not knew that rabies vaccine should not be taken on the buttocks area, it should be given on the hand. The doctor in the hospital where I got the vaccine was careless and irresponsible, infact she told me that I should take it on the buttocks area. On the day after I got the last vaccine shot, I get told that the vaccine should always be given on hands by the main doctor who suddenly was present on the final day of the shot.

Mera ek dost MO hai Govt Hospital me usse puchha tha yeh baat woh bola ki Full 4 doses lena chahiye to be in safe side.. Kya mujhe abhi Full course le lena chahiye??? Please clarify me sir.

I received 5 doses of the anti-rabies vaccine in February 2022. Then I received 3 doses in December 2023. In May 2024, a dog tried to bite me, but there was no injury or scratch at that time. Still, out of fear, I took 5 doses of the anti-rabies vaccine 7-8 days later. Now I have a sore throat and burning sensation in my stomach. Is there a possibility of rabies, ? Which tests should I undergo for this?
