Dear Sir I was vaccinated for rabies 21 years in (2001) ago fully using . Then 2 shots 13 years (2009) ago due to another exposure . All doses previously administered were Rabipur. But got the exposure type scratch from nail with no blood again on 19th March 2022 at 10:00 PM and took 1 dose on day 20 March 11:30Am chirorab type PCEC and due to unavailability on day 3 23 March 10:00 AM I had to take Abhayrab type PVRV . Can I count PVRV as booster dose or I should repeat type PCEC? and how many more vaccine I need to take...

Sir I’ve completed my vaccination course properly when my pet dog scratched my hand and he scratched me again 3 days ago but his rabies booster dose is due from last month, I wanted to ask as you mentioned that we only have to take another 2 vaccines after 3 months so should we calculate the 3 months from the day we got our first shot or our last short? I’ve tried to ask many doctors and got some mixed reviews some says it’s fine I don’t have to take any vaccine now and sone said I have to take it, can you tell me if I should get those 2 vaccines? Or it’s fine and I don’t need to take it

thank you dr sahab for the very informative video . was bitten by a stray dog . taking vaccine as per schedule . Eq RIG serum/ immunoglobulins were also administered. You mention no food restrictions in your video . the govt dispensary advised me no non veg / alcohol and eggs for the duration of vaccine . please clarify if this is required . thanks 🙏

Sir your explanation covered all aspects mentioned under w.ho. and n.c.d.c guidelines in an excellent manner Apart from direct contact of slaiva from rabid dog through bite lick and scratch any chance to indirect exposure like if rabid animal saliva fell on surfaces like tiles, steel further spread disease if comes contact with breaks and wounds on feet while children playing outside

Out side survival over surface is not know. If fresh saliva come in contact with open wound, consider it as grade 3 bite
