This is one of fave Madonna videos. I was only 9 when it came out, but it was one of those songs that shaped me to be so unapologetically me and point out hypocrisy. Like everyone is saying she was responding to the mainstream world criticizing her for using her platform to talk ab sexuality.

This was at the same time Madonna got Dennis Rodman to go to gay clubs and he started painting his nails,dying his hair and wearing makeup which helped me growing up in the ghetto hood area and was the only time I got into basketball because of him and wore his basketball jersey
