Chinese actually are not unfriendly towards Japanese people. In fact, when Japanese troops and would-be colonialists withdrew from China, they left behind many Japanese children in the rush and confusion. Many Chinese families adopted/fostered them and raised them well. Most eventually returned to Japan and were grateful for the love and kindness shown to them.

@@Zerpentsa6598 Yes, I’ve heard about 残留孤児. Such a family lived in my neighborhood some years ago. The Chinese parents were so generous to raise the Japanese kids, the kids of people who mistreated the Chinese locals. That’s not an easy thing to do.. I was deeply moved when I first heard that . But a person like my grandpa used to get along with Chinese locals in Manchuria. He had some very good Chinese friends. So we tend to categorize all Japanese are ~~~, all Chinese are ~~~, however, each person has different thoughts or experiences. But I know my grandpa’s case was rare. Thanks for watching✨

@@ddv267 i believe 20 or so years Japan will jump ship and move closer to China in a big way. They seem to follow the strong. China before, then America, Britain, Germany, then US again. But the Asian Century has just started. The issue with Japan now is they can't make moves towards sovereignty as they have US military and assets swarming their country. America has control over there and also have a LOT of influence on public opinion there. But in around 20 years time America will realize it can't contain China OR both countries(and others) are destroyed. If it's the former case Japan will HAVE TO by then recognize her geopolitical interests and look to China/ASEAN. But for a while now they consider themselves honorary whites and honorary westerners, part of the "advanced, civilized, western club). But they are Asian!

As long as you enjoy the good and stay away from the bad you'll have a good time. The "Shanghai chicken" is a hit and miss for me, too. I guess it is the 三黄鸡, which means "three yellow chicken". Yellow beak, feet and skin. A very special local breed in Pudong, Shanghai. When properly cooked it's quite good but the nuance in flavour and texture probably is most appreciated by old school locals. With so many restaurants in the streets you probably have to consult locals to know which one is really good. Lastly, my respect to your language skills and wish you and husband a happy journey ahead!

@@IzumiKaya How about for Chinese to go to Japan? Do Chinese nationals require Visa to go to Japan and how is that procedure, easy or not so easy? Normally, the Visa process between two countries should be reciprocating. That means, the requirement for Japanese nationals to go to China should be the same as the requirement for Chinese nationals to go to Japan. Japanese, South Korea and the US don't need visa between them because they have mutual agreement between each other. China recently offered a 144-hour visa free to 54 countries. Under the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, foreign travelers can enjoy a six-day stay in certain Chinese cities without a visa, provided they come from 54 eligible countries, enter and exit China from eligible ports, stay within the allowed cities and regions, as well as satisfy other requirements. Japan is not one of them.

Instead try peking duck or some authentic chinese cuisines in China self..you will be amazed by local foods. the noodles are daily fresh made like in Japan aka Soba but with different ingredients/texture/etc.... Best to do in china is sightseeing plus eat alot local vegetables and fruits...It's compared much better price then in Japan itself. My brother and sister in law are touring in japan. From Fuji mountain to different city trips like Osaka/Tokyo/etc... It's quite hot weather recently in Japan. I've heard the services in China is very pleasant then in Hong Kong itself now. PS I hope you have had a wonderful experience in China. Alot young chinese men don't like to marry chinese women anymores. They seek other partners like Koreans/Japanese/Vietnamnese/Thailand/Eastern Europe etc etc... It's all about the Click & Match but honestly modern chinese men are very good as Husband.
