Sorry NozyBro, but I'm with SwiftDetae on this one, I think it's a really happy song! Taka once mentioned in an interview that this song's melody was made by recording 2-3 times randomly, and the lyrics are about Taka's friend who's getting married! Um actually this Wherever You Are is not the version that many of us refer to. It's good, but the other performance is special. Hope you can get to it in future, it's definitely worth a listen to. One Ok Rock Yokohama Arena (Wherever You Are) + eng sub. Not Yokohama stadium.

congratulations on getting to go to melbourne to see oor!! 🥳 i'm not sure if you saw my comment on your last oor vide so I'm just going to repeat myself here, but it's actually almost a year ago to this day (feb 28th 2019) since i saw oor live for the first time myself after missing them 6 times previously and i'm telling you that even with all these concert oor vids you've watched so far and how high your expectations might be now, oor will blow them all out of the water. you guys are in for the night of your life!!! don't worry too much about recording at the concert or anything like that. just live in the moment and enjoy yourselves to the fullest. i wouldn't say no to a post concert review type video though because i really love hearing about how people had a blast at a oor concert. there's something uplifting about seeing others loving the same thing that you love, you know? it's why I like watching oor reaction videos. haha.

First off, congratulations on getting 5K subscribers and being able to go to the concert in a few days! It's going to be the best night of your life and I get the feeling your manager will enjoy the band too. You guys need to study up and listen to their albums 35xxxv, Ambitions, and Eye of the Storm. They're not likely to play many of the songs you've reacted to. Anyway, Wherever you are. Taka wrote this song for a friend who was getting married, and the staff guy he brought on stage happened to get married that day. This song was released in 2010 and it's on their Niche Syndrome album (same album as Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer, Nobody's Home, and Liar). It was used in a Docomo commercial and is probably their most well-known song among non-fans in Japan as it's been the most used song at weddings two years straight now. (So sorry NozyBro, Swift was right LoL.) When you have the chance, pick up a copy of their Ambitions Japan Tour BD/DVD. The performance of this song there is 👌👌👌. So happy for you guys to get to go to Melbourne! Line up early so you can be near the front! (At least 4-5 hours early.) I just want you guys to enjoy yourselves. If the other two people going with you can get a few shots of you having fun then that's good enough. I want those two to have fun as well! Really, it's hard not to enjoy yourself at a ONE OK ROCK concert so I think the other two will find themselves rocking out and maybe forgetting about work LoL. But you will definitely have to react to those songs at one point. 😉 I think you were probably looking at a different VIP ticket. It's probably what the venue considers VIP, but isn't the VIP package the band offers. You wouldn't have been able to get them since you got your tickets late though. VIP tickets usually sell out within the first few minutes. So next time!! You have to pay attention to when tickets go on sale so you can go for VIP. 😬 That would be so awesome if you could get the guys to say "LET'S GET IT" LoL. It's the tour staff who takes photos though and the meet and greet they had last time was very very very short (we literally had like 10 seconds with the guys) so I'm not sure if you would be able to get that done. Looking forward to your vlog, no matter how imperfect. 👍 The guys, especially Taka, are very charismatic on stage, as I'm sure you've noticed, so you might have a couple new fans on your hands by the end of the night LoL. SwiftDetae ok just finished watching and this song is one of the most played songs at weddings in Japan. So even though it’s a little more “poppy” it is a much loved song amongst OOR fans and non fans. As far as interpreting the song I can see both of your points of view. I think in certain circumstances the song can be happy or sad. Personally it’s made me both happy and sad. For example when I was with my girlfriend it made me happy to hear this song. Suggestion: Find a spot in Melbourne and do a fun performance of one OOR song (or part of it) ^^ Btw, it's free standing ticket you have, right? I'm not sure what the situation in Melbourne will be, but in most other concert venues whether in USA or Asia, a line starts to form in the morning i.e. maybe 8 am or 9 am and sometimes earlier. That can be really tiring, so you don't have to do that.
