Like imagine you have a child and it has a birth defect - it has no liver, so it will just die within 2 weeks. Or no stomach. Or it's born without a brain. Without LUNGS or with hearts outside its body. Or with disease that will kill it before it's 6 months old. Brain or muscle degenerative disease for example. Best thing about the water bottle. Pink used to be considered a boys colour and blue a girls colour, up until the 1940s, so it's only been a girly colour less than 80 years The reason is that red was considered masculine because it's a vibrant fire passionate colour, thus pink a lighter shade of red was for boys. While blue being a soft cool colour was considered feminine with sky blue being the primary colour for young girls

thanks for pointing this out. It always irritates me when people act like pink and blue are immutably and eternally tied to assigned gender (just another cool thing: the word 'girl' (gyrle) was once gender neutral, and may have been masculine at an even earlier time (gaere, low German for boy). The word 'boy' (boie) meant servant, commoner, urchin, or knave through the 13th century, and only shifted to indicate a prepubescent man in the mid 14th century. It may also be related to the word 'baby'. If you want to learn more about it, you can check out etymonline, the online etymological dictionary)

And my dad was worried that if he tried to approach them (he was 48 and 6'), they would drive off quickly and get into an accident. So he sent me to talk to them. I always called it “country club Christianity” essentially, church to them is treated like a social club used to ostracize others while making themselves feel morally superior for being “in the club.” These churches also tend to do the bare minimum in helping others or will only help certain social groups even if the these types of people would be ones you should normally expect churches to help. The worst offenders are often extremely stringent with who they help and who can be in their group, that they believe only “certain types of people” are counted as worthy of being redeemed by Jesus. These “Christians” tend to be in older and more radical conservative communities, though I would mention that a church based too extreme in any political group is bad for the faith. Radical conservatives, too closed off to help anyone where they are (like the Pharisees in the Bible) and radical liberals, too loose with the foundations of the Bible causing them to begin falling into heresy. Now of course not all churches are like this, there are many who don’t hold these biases and actively preach against such practices but the line to walk is surprisingly thinner than expected and more churches are falling into these false teachings in America.

The science will only explain what it can, take a medical record that was writen like 100 or 50 years ago and try not to laugh. Most of the things wouldn't make sense. And yes identity is made up beliefs and politics can and probably will change based on experience. Our ethnicity dosen't change but like why would want to change skin color when it dosen't means much. People change their country and live like they are from there, I am from Romania so I know people that lives for at least 20 years in a different country. There is no single thing in the identity that is fixed. But still people get offended when you declare, not even change yours. And those body parts are details. Is not like you would still be hated, and why should they hate someone that is already in a situation so bad is something I will neverr know. 34:19 Met a woman like this. She would, after any house party, tell everyone they can't take any leftovers home and would pour all of the leftovers down the drain or wrap them up and throw them directly in the trash. This was hurtful to find out because she had a lot of money and hosted these parties for the people who shopped at her store. The people attending these parties were all young college students surviving paycheck to paycheck, didn't have very much money or even very much food and were surviving on instant ramen and cans of chicken noodle soup. She'd insist that they must buy expensive party food to attend, but because the party goers didn't really have that kind of money, they would scrape together money for the ingredients to make casseroles or take their family's home made dishes to these parties to share. These were the kinds of people who needed these leftovers, but she would say "well, it's party food, and that means after the party it needs to be thrown away." It didn't make sense to her why she would 'give leftovers to people' because in her mind they were all gifts specifically to her. Thing is, she wouldn't eat any of it. She just made people bring things so /she/ wouldn't have to provide food or drinks at her own parties. I nearly had to explain to her what poverty is and that the people bringing these dishes have no idea they're being thrown out immediately or they wouldn't have brought them at all. Her response was that 'well maybe poor people shouldn't come then' It shouldn't surprise me that later she was discovered to have been abusing her pets. TRUTH. The after church crowd at any restaurant is the absolute WORST. Chick Trax as tips cuz they gave their money to Hey Zeus... AND THEY TELL YOU THAT TO YOUR FACE

very catholic of them innit. "well i cleansed my sins so now I can go whoring yeehaa" but seriously though, it seems like hypocrisy is a requirement for all religious people out there. definitely one of the foundation pieces.

Bro, I am a 16 year old that gets dragged on to church by my parents. I make it my personal duty to keep the choir crowd in check when we go to a cafe afterwards. If they are about to do anything assholy, I talk them out of it as best I can, since I'm quite well respected by them (cos I literally carry the church's basses lmao. I'm one of only 4 people with actual singing training there)

Yep. I know a few people who worked in restaurants that ended up ending Sunday lunch service because of the sheer amount of abuse the staff got. Once place apparently was having such bad turnover they started an investigation and discovered like 90% of the employees who quit had quit on the spot during Sunday lunch. Their retention went from like 30% to 80% (it still was a college town, turnover will be high simply because people graduated and left town) in a month after they stopped Sunday lunch.
@davidribeiro10644 ай бұрын
@@waffles3629honestly, 80% retention is pretty good college town or not.

As a Liberal Boomer who goes out to eat after church (with my Silent Generation friends!) I would like to say this depends on where you live and what church it is. We have had people joining our church specifically to cause trouble, interfering with our charity work and trying to stir up political controversy in our Bible studies. We also have preachers who work to take congregations independent or into ultra-conservative organizations. I don't mean to drag anyone into a comment debate, but there are people out there purposely trying to discredit Christianity from the inside, so try not to help them out.

I also want to say, if you teach your children to stand up for themselves against creeps, or that they should come talk to you if they feel comfortable - then also stick with that and don't go against them and let them down if they actually do! I've so often been taught about creeps and that I should stand up against them and speak up. But there was an old guy in our village who inappropriately touched children. And my sister and I regularly had to go to his farm because our family bought the milk from him. We were both absolutely scared to go there but we were forced to go anyways or else we would be lazy and just be making up stories and if we said anything to him to get him away from us then we were just brats and were terrible to this sweet old man who was just very affectionate towards children.
@lisar64535 күн бұрын
I'm so sorry you, your sister and the nearby kids had to deal with that creep. It's awful that the adults didn't better protect you'ns and get their own damn milk!

No idea what happened as I was boarding when it happened. My gf said she was asked to carry a bag on a plane for someone, I was pretty insistent she shouldn’t agree. She felt kinda guilted into doing it, but I managed to convince her not to

They probably genuinely don’t realize that there are any other flags that look like the USA flag in the slightest. So they see something that’s red white and blue with a star and assume it has to be the USA even if it’s a little off.
@ButMadNNW6264 ай бұрын
To be fair, it's hard to see the 50 stars in the emoji. But the thirteen stripes for the original thirteen colonies are definitely visible, so no excuse for getting it wrong. Especially when (on an Apple device, I don't know about Android) all you have to do is type "American flag" and autocorrect goes "🇺🇸".
@OryXity4 ай бұрын
except the one at 7:53 is the american flag with one star for the single state of texas where the product is made, since the stars on the american flag represent one of the 50 states of america, which would not all be present on a texas honor badge, only the star of texas the american flag has 4 red lines next to the blue square, liberian flag has 3 red lines next to the blue box it really is that difficult. because im guessing you didnt catch that, welcome to nuance malaysian flag : 4 red 4 white next to the blue box liberian flag : 3 red 2 white next to the blue box american flag : 4 red 3 white next to the blue box all very visually distinct in this way an american flag CAN have less stars or even one to denote singular/multiple states, so long as it follows the correct stripe scheme
@OryXity4 ай бұрын
@@catpoke9557 no it fucking doesnt because ANY state can be represented by the american flag with a single or multiple stars, its called an honor crest, because its a badge not a flag, and just to fully reiterate, it isnt a fucking flag Also the flag of texas ONLY HAS ONE RED AND WHITE STRIPE It is NOT identical to the american flag It looks more like the flag for CUBA or POLAND It is also inconsequential and IRRELEVANT in a conversation about COUNTRY FLAGS and BADGES/CRESTS

I did that "show how easy fakeing is like 20 years ago. An elderly distant relative was supporting me while at uni. She was proud a female member of our family studied math, like she did (so she was a pretty clever old lady). She was wealthy and had no kids, so alot of people tried scamming her. sending pictures that were clearly photoshopped, of them together. so I made a picture of her and my grandma on a trip together that she had to skip because she had broken her hip. I did this on my laptop and showed her the process. It actually worked and she did not get scammed anymore.

If someone offered me money to not vote, I'd accept the money, then vote, then later tell them who I voted for. If they tried to complain, I'd point out that bribing someone to abstain from voting is electoral corruption, which is a particularly serious form of fraud. I'd then point out that I'm very generously accepting their *GIFT* and choosing to take it as that instead of what they were *OBVIOUSLY* joking about the money being for, because of course they would never be so stupid as to try and violate the sanctity of the electoral system in such a horrible way, particularly given that they know how serious the penalties are for even a minor instance of this type of fraud.
