This is a peice of art! I have always had an interest in the Titanic and to see this come to life is awesome, all the time spent making it accurate and the smallest details worked out from lighting to stack smoke is fantastic, plus actually able to get it in the water and sail it. Great work!

DON'T YOU DARE SINK THAT MODEL. 1,130 hand drilled portholes, straws to create the correct warm lighting effect, brilliant. Accurately timed propellers, belt driven center shaft and multi adjustable magnetic keel, 600 dollars. It's perfect and the epitome of photogenic models. The engineering that went into this is priceless. You owe it to the world. Perhaps she could be featured in a documentary about the ship. Contact a producer from the history channel, American experience or public television You are all brilliant engineers and one of the most ingenious groups I've ever seen. The deck looks yellow, which is inaccurate, the decks were made from a light pine for the superstructure and a darker tone of teak for the forecastle and poop decks. Assuming they used the box the anti fouling should be atsf mineral brown

The fourth stack was not a dummy added for looks and it did work. It was used as a vent for various rooms inside the ship and I think the kitchen. So it didn't have as much smoke as the others, but it still was not for looks. (Also, yes I know this video is old but I just wanted to point this out.)

Also, do you happen to know anywhere I could look to enqure about the rules and regulations surrounding model ships? Loved the video, a wonderful peice of miniature engineering and a true inspiration to other miniature enthusiasts out there!
@Rapidnadion7 жыл бұрын
Just not enough there to substantiate a video on these tiny boats, sorry steaming! But we base the boat on the size of the power plant, electronics and their orientation (rudder servo), and battery. We stack up the balsa layers to where the boat is high enough to support the weight of all the components. That sometimes makes the project a little top heavy, so then we need to add ballast.. a vicious cycle of sorts. No R & R's surrounding model ships that we're aware of..
@steamedlyons7 жыл бұрын
