Another reason to hate the "bothering strangers by doing weird shit to them in public" trend is that people with special needs will sometimes do that kind of thing innocently and assholes like this give people reason to be rude about and/or suspicious of odd social behaviors. If that guy did that to me I would have thought he was disabled, once I found out it was a prank I would have ended up going viral for screaming at him in a grocery store

You drop food like that and the hungry customers are mad, the cooks curse you out, slam crap around, and treat you like crap for the rest of the shift, you have a huge mess to clean, and no matter what you can't redeem yourself to that table (in most cases.) That's a 10% or less tip event right there. That and the kitchen hostility throws you off your game for the whole night. Might as well go home for the night 'cause you're done, boo.

A small act of kindness would go a long way. Ask if she's okay, and let her know it's okay. It's only food. Help pick it up. It doesn't have to be a big deal. Only if everyone makes it a big deal.

She made some video about how they'd been in a relationship for a long time and was waiting for him to pop the question, but after 3 years of waiting nothing happened. She was getting annoyed and was planning on doing some trend every day until he asked (i don't remember the trend, I'm not on couples tiktok) But then people were all up in her comments asking about it. If she'd brought it up, had she thought of it, why she was bringing it up on tiktok etc. So the video wasn't out of nowhere really - she'd dragged their business out into the public and the public wanted to know what was going on.
