"From R&D to Access and Delivery - Connecting for an end-to-end Ecosystem -"
GHIT R&D Forum 2024 was held at Tokyo in December, and was attended by more than 120 participants from a diverse range of domestic and global stakeholders, including private companies, academia, research institutions, NGOs/NPOs, and other experts.
Sessions at the Forum brought together experts to share ideas and opinions on the needs, technologies, and product development in low to middle-income countries in the global health space. The development of and access to new technologies and treatments for #malaria , #tuberculosis , and #NeglectedTropicalDiseases ( #NTDs ) were actively discussed, existing collaborations in global health product development were strengthened, and new partnerships were forged.

Participants delved into the complex challenge of translating R&D into equitable access, examining how Product Development Partnerships drive #vaccine innovation. Discussions explored the 100-day pandemic preparedness initiative alongside African manufacturing opportunities, with particular focus on successful local diagnostic production through initiatives like Diotropix. Strategic partnerships and regulatory frameworks emerged as key enablers.

R&Dからアクセス・デリバリーまで - エンド・トゥ・エンドのエコシステム構築に向けて-
12月に東京で開催したGHIT R&Dフォーラム2024では、民間企業、アカデミア、研究機関、NGO/NPOなど、国内外より多様なステークホルダーの方々など、総勢120名以上にご参加いただきました。
#グローバルヘルス の専門家が一堂に会したこのフォーラムでの各セッションでは、グローバルヘルス領域における低中所得国のニーズ、技術、製品開発における様々な意見やアイデアが共有され、#結核 、#マラリア 、#顧みられない熱帯病 ( #NTDs )に対する新しい技術や治療法の開発やアクセスについて活発な議論を交え、グローバルヘルス製品開発における既存の協力関係の強化や、新たなパートナーシップが構築しました。
セッション5では、PATHよりDr. Ashley Birkett、 CEPIのDr. Timothy Endy、オンラインで参加したMARKET ACCESS AFRICA のDr. Loice Kikwai、 Institut Pasteur de DakarのDr. Oumar Ndiayeが登壇し、パートナシップや連携のありかたについて発表をしました。
