I agree Nate Term Limits. My idea for them is this: 12 max with an age cap of 70 for the people who can be elected. So you could either do 6 terms of 2 years each in the House, 2 terms of 6 years each in the Senate, or split it with 3 terms in the House and 1 term in the Senate, but once you reach 12 years served you're gone.

Fun fact, companies actively get away with paying their employees less because their tips make up part of their salaries. By paying someone say $50 of their $80 work wage, means that the company isn't required to pay them their full $80 for their time, they just pay the remaining $30 and save an extra $50 by skimping on wages. What's worse is that most companies (according to Google) combine employee tips anywhere from 20-100% to divide it amongst all the workers. That means Frank could do literally nothing all day while you and your favorite co-worker rack up like $500 in combined tips on the busiest day ever and then lose 33% or more of that to Frank who gets paid the exact same amount as the rest of you for doing fucking nothing. This country is a shit show and I despise the fact that I can't leave it because we don't have enough of our own money to move. Also, besides the shitty economy, the worthless president, and the scummy corporate practices, the minimum amount you have to make annually to be considered above the poverty line in the US is around $36,000 a year. The poverty line as of 2022 being $35,801. I've been trying to get work for over 6 years but have either been denied because I lack past experience, was technically dropped out of high school and forced to get my GED because nobody in my state would recognize my diploma (So I'm labeled as a dropout on my record, despite having both a degree and a GED.), or they just straight up deny me because I'm autistic and don't get along well with other people. As a result, it's impossible for me to get a job and as such have been granted SSI disability income to 'provide' for me. However, I only get around $915 a month for literally everything except medical, which is $2,000 a month that DOESN'T stack. So if I ever have a medical emergency that costs like $20,000 for the ambulance ride and emergency care, I'll be spending my entire insurance check for 10 months straight to pay it off, meaning for that entire amount of time I might as well just be a dead man walking. But that's just the medical side. Because I only get $915 a month and was deemed unable to work (If I got a job or stopped seeking mental care for my autism, which I personally don't think you can actually control.) then they'll cut my income entirely. I can't even go to school to build up skills in the event I DO lose my income and have to find an actual job, so I'll literally be worse off in the future if I lose my money because I can't better myself in the meantime. Besides all that though, $915 a month means only $10,980 a year. Which means I need to make AT LESAT 3.5 times more money to be considered above the poverty line. Right now I'm in the bottom like 12% of Americans in terms of financial stability. The fact that I'm even still alive is a miracle by this point and I can't say it's because of the healthcare system keeping me alive. Aside from some medicated side effects from my forced autism medication and a quick week long cold, I haven't been sick in over 8 years, which btw I had to survive by sheer luck because I couldn't get insurance until now when I got my SSI, 15 years after we started working for it. Had anything gone wrong in that 8 year period where I was literally told "no fuck you" on jobs and "you don't meet our requirements" for public health insurance, I would've been fucking obliterated by a single hospital visit. When I got earwax stuck in my ear and had to have the doctors FAIL to clean it out it cost me like $300 or some shit like that, just for them to stick saline into my ear and do absolutely nothing except make me dizzy by pounding my eardrum with jets of water. They actively did more harm then good and I had to pay them for fucking up my body. The reason I couldn't get insurance by something like Public-Aid is because I'm a single adult, with no kids and a place to live. So if I either didn't have a mother to stay with, or a child to raise, they refused to give me insurance in the event something went wrong. So because I just so perfectly fit their description for 'able bodied person' they refused to help, meaning I went almost an entire 3rd of my life without insurance and prayed to God there wasn't a bullet in the chamber when I pulled the trigger. This country is a fucking nightmare, a literal hell on earth, and because I'm unable to save money or obtain enough of it, I LITERALLY can't leave because shit costs too much. We have to either find a friend in another country to stay with for a while, rent an apartment, or buy/rent a house until we can find jobs overseas that will hire us DEFINITIVELY and then start all the way over from square 1. New jobs, new income, new homes, new friends, new schools, new healthcare, new insurance, new culture, probably a new language. Literally fucking EVERYTHING just to get out of his hell hole. If this country doesn't get its fucking act together in my life time then I'm going to come back to life in the next 100 years as a vengeful demonic entity and burn it to the ground myself. That's not a threat, that's a promise. Make America great again, TRULY great again, or I'll fucking burn it to the ground like the rapture.

Tipping is such a stupid custom. I'm sure at one point it was a way to show appreciation, but now it's just demanding customers to pay the employees, because the employers don't want too, and the Government is okay with that. And it's only getting worse with time, eventually something's gone to break. Probably when you go to pay, and the only options are 50%/60%/70%. About the old people thing: Keep in mind that Robin lives in Colorado (Colorado Springs, from what I remember (and other cities, such as Spokane, which he has mentioned more than once)), whereas you guys live close to the Virginia-Tennessee border. Not all old people are gonna act the same across this vast country we call the United States. Robin has different experiences, and y'all have different experiences. You may not have meet that many rude people (since you live in a relatively rural area, where nicer people are more common), but Robin, as he has said, has, and you're bound to find more rude people in more populated places (I know I've had my fair share of interacting with rude people, having been raised in the suburbs all my life). Good on you that you know a lot of decent people in the area that you guys live in. Robin, on the other hand, isn't so lucky. This take just seems a bit ignorant, if I do say so myself.

As someone who has worked with waitresses, they really don't deserve the tips people give them. Those b*tchy 18-40 year old moody adults have become as entitled as a rich man's daughter to their parent's credit card. And honestly, the whole "Always tip" bs is something I really hate. Not because I don't want to give money to people who do their job right but because people won't do their job at all if they don't see "the correct incentive." This has become an answer to a problem that made more problems than it solved, and it doesn't even fix that problem well enough because the tips are only given to the waiters and drivers, no other job gets the tip because the customer follows the law of "if you didn't see it, it doesn't exist" following all the staff that made the food and cleaned the dishes, the real dirty jobs that should be getting more money than the "I showed them a smile and brought the food" job that gets a bonus hundred every week.

Though I have to mention that you both completely missed the point about the tipping and ended up going on an irrelevant rant. It's about misplaced blame NOT guilt tripping. The point was that the fault lies entirely with the the people in charge using the existence of tipping culture as an excuse to underpay. (even sometimes below minimum wage for service jobs) Both the service workers AND the customers pay the price for this. To be more specific, he pointed out that the situation isn't the fault of the workers and you guys somehow translated that to "always give generous tips or else you are a bad person".
