Ken Sparkes was one of the greatest voiceovers Australia has ever produced, and he's still sadly missed after 4 years.

Happy to say that I've used the Procaster in my home studio in Wisconsin for several months now and it works brilliantly. For my AM station, you cannot tell the difference on the air between the Procaster and the mics (Neumann and RE20's) that we use in the actual radio studio. I'm very happy with the product.

This is my favorite video if you plan to get a real microphone which also features excellent microphone technique. I just installed it and could not be happier with the Rode Procaster which is made by one of the best microphone manufacterers in the world!

This really addresses all the concerns that other people have brought up about this mic. Some youtubers are saying that it pops a lot and that you may need to put a foam on it. Didnt hear plosives from this video though.

Thank you for the comment. Never been too concerned about the visual but more about the audio.The audio quality is not enhanced, it from mic to camera. We aimed at a natural sound with no enhancement. I will pass on your comment to the IT team and appreciate you making a positive comment.

Fantastic and very informative video I’m hoping to get a ride procastet in the new year. For over 10 years I’ve done varies podcady but I’ve always used usb mics which I haven’t never been happy with the result I’ve finally decided to try and save up and hopefully by a Rode broadcaster Thanks again for a great video

Great video so thanks! I'm new so I'm still cutting my teeth on equipment and believe me, UPS loves me. Currently am on my second microphone and though I'm quite happy with it I found the RODE to be very impressive. Moreover, I learned a lot from your tips regarding microphone technique, and that in itself was actually more valuable!
You have a great voice you seem to have the voice I associate with radio .

Tip for people who might want to get this is to make sure that your Audio Interface got enough cream to work good with the Procaster. I myself got this Microphone Rode Procaster and it's great but i also got an Scarlett 2i2 and it's a bit to weak to handle the Procaster so what i did was to get another part called Cloudlifter CL-1 which adds extra gain which is something that these Dynamic Microphone needs more of than a Condenser Microphone. There is also cheaper alternatives to the Cloudlifter CL-1 such as a Triton Fethead Might be more options to it now tho and you might get an more expensive Audio Interface which can give more gain than a Cloudlifter CL-1 for that extra cash you would have spent on a Cloudlifter since they are pretty expensive. Hope it might helped someone out and enjoy your Procaster if you get one!

Hej b4nto!
@B4NTO7 жыл бұрын
@MussePlaysMostlyPC7 жыл бұрын
@B4NTO7 жыл бұрын
@B4NTO7 жыл бұрын

I've just ordered one of these to compare with the Heil Sound PRO-40 (another dynamic studio mic) If it's favourable - you can have my Heil for a reasonable price ;-)

@Rode can you guys please put serious effort in making the best Broadcast/Podcast mic, this is good but we want something much more higher end to dethrone the SM7B and RE20. And please no to your dual xlr and usb mic that you guys been doing. I get the idea, but we want a serious mic, a true professional mic. Not something that, you use USB first then when you are serious then can get an audio interface kind of mic. I know it's weird, but I rather not have unnecessary electronics in my microphone that I won't be using. Please make one with pure XLR, best of the best and with honors sir! I'm rooting for you guys.

LOL Since it was uploaded in 2008, it's forgivable and understandable as even 480p was barely existent on KZbin at the time.

Hey August, sorry to hear you're having trouble, feel free to reach out to our Service Team if we can assist. You can reach us here: rode.com/contact
@tc59932 Жыл бұрын
Btw August, you can unscrew the cap and place additional foam just underneath, it helps with the breath and popping. Furthermore, you can try out the RE style pop filters like the BSW pop or Roxdon HPF for zero popping.
