This is a concert I got a few years ago. It's pro shot and the sound isn't bad except the bass drum is kinda loud.

Graduated high school and entered college in '85. Fables will always be "my" REM album. Diving through a window to get into a party, dancing the night away to Driver 8. Good times.

To me, this is the essence of R.E.M., this era. They had value always but just as Fables was released, that's when they were the shit. Saw them same tour in Central Jersey.

Such a great song! I caught them in Richmond VA at the Mosque on this tour. My first REM show. I wish I'd been able to see them more before then, but I was 14/15 in '85, so it was when I was first getting into music. Thanks for posting.

Coolest ending in the entire R.E.M. catalog. And the only "hard" stop?

And for the next 10 or so years it would be quite the ride for REM. (I consider Bill leaving the end of REM.)

Funny how there is a drum called a 'tom' and Bill's middle name is Thomas.

Trying to figure out how much I would pay to be teleported to this show right now. Over $10,000. Maybe $12,000.
