Great performance of this song.
I noticed another version on YT but the audio is out of sync with the vid so thought I'd upload a new version.

I heard in an interview R.E.M. recorded this song in one take down in New Orleans one night around 2am. Stipe totally blew Peter Buck’s mind as most of the lyrics were being made up on the spot. Sometimes artists and athletes get into the zone and can create magic.

This song just envelopes you- slowly seeping into your soul. What a performance, what an amazing band. So lucky to be there when R.E.M. was in its prime, still lucky to be able to listen to them in 2022.

Thumbs up 👍. However if I wanted to be a pain I could do the full Lyrics that he never sang on this Live Show. Lyrics: It's the poison that in measures Brings illuminating vision It's the knowing with a wink That we expect in Southern women It's the wolf that knows which root to dig to eat to save itself It's the octopus that crawled back to the sea Instinct, Gut, Feeling, Feelings. This flower is scorched This flim is on On a maddening loop These clothes These clothes don't fit us right I'm to blame It's all the same It's all the same You come to me with a bone in your hand You come to me with your hair curled tight You come to me with positions You come to me with excuses Ducked out in a row You wear me out You wear me out We've been through fake-a-breakdown Self-Hurt Plastics Collections Self-Help Self-Pain EST Psychics Fuck-all I was Central I had control I lost my, Head, I need this I need this A paper weight Junk garage Wedding Ring A honey pot Crazy All the lovers have been tagged A hotline A wanted add It's crazy what you could've had It's crazy what you could've had It's crazy what you could've had I need this I need this ITS CRAZY WHAT YOU COULD'VE HAD ITS CRAZY WHAT YOU COULDVE HAD I need this I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed this It's crazy what you could've had It's crazy what you could've had I need this I need this. Once upon a time, We looked so fine, Look upon a dime, In your prime. Didn't you. A good one now, You'll see, You can't refuse, When you got nothing, You've got nothing to lose. Your invisible, Now, Your invisible You got nothing, to Conceal.

I was a teenager when this came out , maybe younger. It scared me , because it made me know what a broken heart , a lost in replaceable love of my life would feel like . And yes probably about 4 years later a first love made me feel this . My heart still breaks for her . Wow first time I ever let that feeling out .
