Oddly enough...they were a notoriously underachieving live act for many years during their days of the original band making thier best music. They became so famous that they made a conscious effort to change that reputation, and put on much better shows later, but the studio stuff was at it's best during the years they struggled live. I have been a huge fan since the late 70's.
