@@MarkNarrations Haha, they are a bit large, but pretty slim-line, usually, depending on the width of the person using them. Their expensiveness comes from the multitude of functions (ie having a hydrolics system to raise the seat about two feet up into the air, and a computer system that allows individual control of each of the pieces, like the backrest, the leg rests, the seat tilt, ect)

all the ep's. we should have a zoo, lure the EP's and EK's into the "enclosures" or "exhibits" and watch the show go down as you put something up for them to argue about, whether it be a ride, free food or a Nintendo switch where only 1 kid can play.

Try getting on or off a bus with 2 wheelchairs, 3 strollers and 2 people with loaded grocery carts with the strollers and carts totally disregarding the fact that the bus is already crammed. And I forgot to mention the people standing in the aisle totally blocking the front door of the bus even when there are plenty of open seats. Up to 7 or 8 people on some trips totally oblivious to the fact that there are other passengers on the bus.

Yesterday I was getting off the streetcar, on my way home from a doctor's appointment. I love in Toronto and the new streetcars have a ramp that comes out from under the door, in the middle section of the car. I'm, also, in a wheelchair. When the ramp comes out, so as not to injure anyone, the middle doors don't open until the ramp is fully ejected. My fiance (who has to pick me because my physical disability affects both my arms and legs, and we can't afford to live anywhere in the city that doesn't have stairs, so I couldn't get an electric wheelchair :S (and one of my three autoimmune diseases is both rare and very deadly, and of course I have an extremely aggressive strain of it. Because it's so rare, there are only two hospitals, and two machines I need to save my life once my immune system decides to start trying to kill me, and I need to be near my doctor, I _can't_ move out of the city.) Anyway, back to getting off the streetcar yesterday. The driver can hit a button that will trigger an announcement to the people on the streetcar, warning everyone that the ramp is going to be deployed and the middle car door won't open. Of course this specific breed of douchewaffle doesn't press the button. Few of them do. However, taking the young woman in front of the door that it wouldn't open, myself, wasn't even the epitome of stupidity that happened. Her, having headphones on, and ignoring me outright, even though I could tell she heard me, wasn't what got to me... The fact that *the dumbass driver only put the ramp out HALF EFFING WAY* pissed me of so bad. We didn't go at first, afraid we would break the thing. It was obvious this guy just couldn't be arsed. Finally, my fiance had to wheel me until I was at the end of the ramp (still about half a foot in the air at least) then left both the chair and I down. All while worrying we'd both get injured when the combined weight of two full grown adults and my wheelchair came crashing into the street. And the effing streetcar driver had the *AUDACITY* to look at us upset for taking so long! We had been told earlier that day that drivers can put the first half of the ramp out from their seat, but they have to get out to put the ramp down all the way. It was extremely obvious that he was just being lazy! I tried to memorize his streetcar number so I could report him, but I forgot by the time I got home. It was like 4502 or 4305 or something. So that doesn't help at all. If I were by myself, I would have just been stuck in the bloody idiot bus (driven by an idiot, not full of idiots... Although sometimes...) Extra: If you're wondering why it only went half way, I'll explain it here. In Toronto, there are streetcar stops where it lets the patron out on the road and the stops are on the side of the street; and stops that are in the middle of the street, and you get off on a platform. The platforms are all raised above the street, so when they made the ramps for the new streetcars, they installed two sections, and as I said in my story, the first can be ejected from the driver's seat, but the second half requires the drivers to get out of the streetcar, unlock the ramp with a key, and stand there while it extends, we get off, and the ramp is tucked back inside the vehicle. I mean yeah, that sounds like a pain in the ass, but DO YOUR JOB! People who don't see disability first or second hand, just don't understand how hard it is for those of us in a chair, when things so necessary for us are half assed. The amount of bathrooms I've been to that have a "handicapped" bathroom too small to fit my (smallest you can get, adult sized) chair in the stall, or everything is handicap accessible in the washroom, but the non-automatic door is heavier than the entire bathroom (small exaggeration) and getting in by yourself is literally impossible... I could go on, and don't get me started on what some people consider "ramps." In short, people don't actually care is their establishment is actually inclusive. They only care if it can squeeze past code. And it's sad. Sure, people in wheelchairs are a minority, but it's not like making a stall big enough it's only kind of helpful to that minority. It's the literal difference between being able to go to said place or not. Small example, then I'll shut up. I went to a Korean BBQ restaurant the other day, and their washrooms are downstairs. I had to go to Starbucks down the street first, and thank whomever you thank for these things, they don't make you but before using the bathroom anymore, but I always feel so bad for doing that. I had no choice though. Sure, my fiance has to wheel me up and down the steps in front of our apartment every time I leave the house, but there's a huge difference between a 5 stair entrance, and a 20+ stair flight into the dungeon, with a tiny bathroom at the bottom.

Here in Canada disabled people take importance over strollers so the bus driver will ask as nicely as possibly for the mothers, to fold up their stroller and move. We even have smaller transit buses exclusively for disabled riders. I've never run into a situation where someone has refused a disabled rider there needed space, we all kinda understand

Ugh, I hate religious people that make it their business to shove their religion down your throat! My grandma who lived in Minnesota, my dad's mom, was LDS, or Morman as their more well known by. But she was an open-minded, caring and loving woman who put her family first. Not religion. She loved us, her granddaughters, no matter what, regardless our sexual orientation, our religious choices, etc. *that* is a true religious person to me. Not these bible thumping, holier than thou, religious freaks that spread shame and hate.
