The most ironic part is in the past few days I can't swallow at all without pain in my chest, out of nowhere and burning so bad. I'm freaking out. It's like swallowing glass. This song calms me down. I don't know what caused this suddenly. Panic attacks?? I never had GERD, or was eating inflammatory foods on the list, panicking I may have esophageal cancer or a tumor?! That's the reason you should never start looking up your symptoms. I just don't want to get more more flipped up by a crazy diagnosis. Dreading it. Hoping it away. Drinking apple cider vinegar helps briefly but it wears off. Swallowing all my pills as a chronically ill person is torture. So now I'm on soft foods like a geriatric patient way too young for this crap. I dread eating on top of everything else, this is the last straw. I feel like throwing in the towel.

I didn't specifically spell it out but I guess my long novel pretty much explained it but this wasn't the place for a pity party. Lucky I am doing better with the swallowing though. I wouldn't think of trying to rip off one of my favorite Aussie bands, sorry it certainly looks like that was the intention, but not the goal, I try to be original. Have a good day.

This song resonates with me at such a high level. 18 months ago I lost all hope and jumped off a cliff, falling 40m into bushland. Hours later I woke from unconsciousness and spent the night trying to make sense of what happened. Miraculously I was airlifted out of an almost inaccessible incline by the most amazing people who say they were just doing their job. It still doesn't make sense that I survived but I'm eternally grateful that I did. Any situation you find yourself in doesn't define you. I've been chronically ill for over a decade. A week ago, i learned my dear friend of 30 years passed away. it had been less than a year since her cancer diagnosis. She leaves behind a loving husband and young daughter. I'm alone so wouldn't have left anyone behind in devastating grief. Still trying to figure out why it wasn't me. I randomly remembered this song existed tonight on the way home from yet another treatment that doesn't really help. I may or may not have listened to it about 20 times to remind myself that there's a lot of people wondering why the absolute fuck we're still here, struggling to stagger along with assistance, while people who are so full of life and bring so much joy and general usefulness to their people or the world in general, are gone. It makes no sense. I sometimes wonder why we cant just swap places, so while I'm never sure it's a good thing : at least I'm alive. I guess?! Life is baffling. But clearly I'm not alone in that bafflement 😄 🤣 *waves to the fellow confused* how the hell are we still here?! 😄 🤣

Being a big Rufus lover, I had a feeling this one was meant for the live stage. Seeing them perform this song at iii points last night absolutely confirmed that. Such a good song but it is really meant to be experienced!
