Greentext \tg\ , what does it mean?

A popular device used for quotation and storytelling.
This began on the *chan imageboards, where quoting text places a Less or Greater than symbol in front of it, turning it green. This effect can also be done manually. Before long, this feature was put to innovative use. When quoting another post, greentext is frequently used for summary, criticism, and ridicule. Its other major use is storytelling, in which a lengthy story is told through fragmentary statements in greentext.
Greentext became highly popular for both of these functions due to its convenience. When quoting a post, it is easier to summarize than to respond in full. When telling a story, stringing together sentence fragments is a grammatically easier alternative to prose composition (it also makes for lighter reading).
This feature has become so widespread that it is sometimes used outside of imageboards (eg KZbin comments).

Their 'logic tree' _might_ be a tad outside the norm. As the story detailed, for this species of xeno, the concept of losing is a _barely_ acknowledged possibility.

I already binged this whole series over a year ago, but the algorithm saw fit to show me an episode again. Probably because I've been purposely seeking out some of the older videos to make sure I caught all 1-500. I remember the first time around thinking Lang Lang Diddy was an odd name, but now in 2024 with a certain rapper facing charges, I lost it every time Agro said it, lol.
