Kotton is one of the oldest youtubers I've watched, can't say I'm have been watching him in the last 3-4 years, but damn the H&G days where pretty damn fun, some videos come to mind such as playing with paratroopers on top of the trees and such.

Remember being a huge WW2 kid and loving playing this game with 7 FPS on my laptop. Even years later being an adult with a $2000 PC it was games like this with those crappy FPS that give me the most nostalgic memories.

Damn. I havent played that game in years but still have so many good memories of this game. I can still remember that i grinded multiple soldiers just so i could take multiple weapon loadouts into battle. This was in fact the first game that i grinded like an idiot xD

Thanks for posting this, I played almost everyday since like 2014-2015 and totally missed out on playing this game in its final moments, but just hearing the sounds from the game are so nostalgic. I dont think ive ever played a game so much that I was recognized within the game community over the years. Playing one faction for so long you start to see others who have been playing just as long and a sort of camaraderie had formed I havnt had In other games. Even players on the other factions I would recognize their gamertags over the years and have respect for most. I remember one American player(I played Soviet) would come up to my tank with his, get out and we would have a snowball fight mid match without ever really communicating with him and over multiple games. So many good memorys with this game really sad to see it go. Will never forget taking out a Pershing with a BT-7 in the tank battle mode. If anyone cares enough or recognizes the name KingxAnarchy from H&G and want to play other games and catch up feel free to message me or something. RIP Heroes and Generals, you'll be missed.

As much as we loved to hate on it, we still played it (some of us 1000+ hours xD) and to say the game actually changed my life is an understatement and a half, would never have found this channel and chatted with so many of you guys! Kotton got me on Twitch, thanks to a silly photo of him in the H&G steam forums one day, I just had to click to see who this silly guy was, and here we are, almost 7 years later lol Big F, but onto the next one and hopefully many more, sir Kotton and viewers! :)

The first video I ever saw from you was you playing some H&G . This game really made some of my days , i was very young when i started playing this game (about 13) i remember my first game. Noooo this is so sad 😢 as someone who played H&G on and off between 2014-2018, I was hoping to return sometime soon when I had more time. Sad to see it go but i’m glad I can say I had MANY great memories playing this great community-driven game! It was the type of game which can either be taken seriously or you could easily fool around in. 🤣 Watching/participating in the Q&A podcasts with the devs, waiting for and watching the new update build videos, all the great maps/vehicles/squads/game modes, the real-time strategy aspect on the assault map, deploying units, reading/posting on the forums, THE WHISTLING, and, of course, watching Kotton and all his shenanigans are just some of the many reasons why I loved H&G! A very fun game indeed, even with all its little quirks. ❤ Wishing the devs all the best. Thank you for everything, yall are amazing!

War games were so intense when you had some of the best players in the game going against each other. I remember before they added the SovietUnion such a wild and long ride.
